This afternoon, we watched this "Under Paris" a French creature feature horror action thriller on Netflix.
"Summer 2024. Paris is hosting the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine for the first time. Sophia, a brilliant scientist, learns from Mika, a young environmental activist, that a large shark is swimming deep in the river. To avoid a bloodbath at the heart of the city, they have no choice but to join forces with Adil, the Seine river police commander."
This is a very good Shark movie, one of the better ones out there including "Bait" and "Deep Blue Sea" It is gory, which is cool.
The shark 'Lilith' is mutated and that's down to the fault of the Humans as you get to see the disgusting Great Pacific Rubbish Patch, that we have caused and that's where the Shark originated from and Sophia loses her Husband and the rest of her team of Marine experts, 3 years past by and she is suffering from PTSD and finds out that Lilith is still alive and this time, has swam to the rivers of the Seine underneath Paris and starts a bloodbath when the Mayor of Paris refuses to listen to the River Police and the Marine Scientist and let's the Triathlon Championships take place to the delight of the Sharks, Yes, there is more than one Shark, let's say dozens and dozens of the Marine Biters!
I must admit, I was on the side of the Sharks and I cheered when people started getting slaughtered by them.
The ending was Awesome! And Paris is fucked! The Seine is disgusting as is our River Thames in the UK. Humans are a disgusting species and we have fucked this home up of ours and we deserve to be destroyed.
Anyway, I shall rate this brilliant film a score of 9/10.
This is one of the best French films I've seen in awhile.
Highly Recommend.
