FAR CRY

 Last night, I watched this action film on Freevee. It's another Uwe Boll movie based on a computer game.

It's loosely adapted from the video game of the same name. The film is directed by Uwe Boll and stars Til Schweiger.

"Jack Carver, a German ex-special forces soldier turned boatman, is hired by Valerie Cardinal, a journalist, to take her to a nearby island where her uncle Max works in a top-secret research facility, smuggling information out. However, the facility's director and evil mastermind Dr. Krieger is actually creating genetically modified super-soldiers with no intelligence, and Uncle Max and Val are taken by Krieger's mercenaries. It's now only up to Jack to save them and defeat Krieger's evil minions."

The cast of actors were really good - German actor Til Schweiger, The bad guy was played by the legendary Udo Kier, and two of the soldiers who are not that bad are played by the legendary action stars Craig Fairbrass and Ralf Moller.

The movie was like an 80's action flick, not much to think about in regards to the story but the fight scenes and gunplay seemed very much out of the game for which I've never played.

A lot of people hate on any of Uwe Boll's films, but he is a fan and the only one who is actually making these adaptations as no body else is interested, so kudos to the guy.

The super soldiers were laughable as they all looked like albino Vin Diesel's.

This film did have a heart and I really enjoyed it, one of the better Boll films that I have seen in recent times.

I would watch this again.

I shall rate this movie a score of 7/10.
