Night before last, I watched The Pink Panther 2 on Prime Video.
"After having been rewarded for solving the mystery of the Pink Panther Diamond, inspector Jacques Clouseau has been assigned to minor tasks by his boss inspector Dreyfus so as not to have him in his way anymore. Unfortunately, the famous diamond has once again been stolen as have many other artifacts in a series of burglaries around the world. His past success will enable inspector Clouseau to be part of the dream team comprised of the greatest detectives of the affected countries, where he will be able to display his numerous talents across the world."
This is still a very silly, daft and slapstick of a movie and I enjoyed it for the fun moments.
Steve Martin is brilliant as the idiotic Inspector Clouseau, and his French accent is OTT bad!
The rest of the great cast were brilliant and they seemed to have enjoyed their funny turn in this film.
We had some great actors in the likes of - Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer, Andy García, Alfred Molina, Yuki Matsuzaki, Jeremy Irons, John Cleese, and the rather sexy Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The only damp squib of this movie was the unfunny Cleese who refused to put on a French accent, not even a bad fake one.
This was a daft movie that was alright and I enjoyed it.
I shall rate this flick a score of 6/10.
