Last night, I watched this very low budget sci-fi post-apocalyptic action western style film on Freevee.
"Inside a desert oasis, a queen (Lucy Liu) lays dying as her son Prince (Jeffrey Wahlberg) travels across barren waste lands to find a medicine to save her life. After evading violent raiders on motorbikes led by the Warlord (James Franco) and his enforcers, Prince meets Ash (Suki Waterhouse), the Warlord's android sex companion who's in search of her own soul. As Prince is captured by the Drug lord (Milla Jovovich), the Warlord's forces roar in - and Prince fights to save the remnants of humanity."
This was an abysmal dull rubbish of a movie. A cheap rip-off of Mad Max and Cherry 2000.
I cannot stand James Franco anyway who also co-directed this turd of a film. He really cannot act and his performance is OTT.
Lucy Liu was pointless as she spent what little time in the film by laying on her bed in the middles of a beach oasis.
Jovovich was also OTT as one of the bad guys as was Snoop Dogg, neither of them acted their socks off, I think the cast must have had a tax bill to pay off.
For a Post Apocalyptic film set in the wastelands of America? everybody had perfect teeth, make-up and clothes and they all looked healthy and fit.
Despite the fact that they did not have any food, water, or ammunition, They had plenty of electricity, and fuel for their motorcross bikes and dune buggy's
The female android turns out to be a Lesbian (Of course she is!)
and the main hero? Prince was just a wet blanket.
All around, it was very bad writing and acting.
I shall rate this film a no-score of 0/10.
Avoid at all costs!
