This afternoon, in honour of Mel Brooks 98th Birthday, we watched this classic black comedy western on BBC iPlayer.
This film is one of our favourites as is Spaceballs, also by Mel Brooks.
The film was not edited so all the funny good bits are still in this and I watched this the first time when I was about 5 years old, but i have not since it since the 90's as it does not get shown on terrestrial TV here in the UK that often as it does offend those poor little snowflakes with the language and the themes.
I highly recommend this movie if you want to watch a decent intelligent comedy western with so many lines of dialogue that now exist in our popular pop culture and vocabulary.
It is sad to note that out of the whole cast, Mel Brooks and one other female actress are the only two surviving actors left from this movie.
I shall rate this movie a score of 10/10.
