Last night, I watched this German action film "60 Minutes" on Netflix.
"MMA fighter Octavio only has an hour to come to his daughter's birthday, otherwise he could lose custody of her forever. But to achieve his goal, he ditches an important fight which causes a number of gangsters to hunt him down in a chase across Berlin, as they have placed a lot of money on him to win. The merciless race against time will soon push the young father to his limits."
This film has elements of Run Lola Run, as Octavio played by Emilio Sakraya races across the mean streets of Berlin, getting into a number of fights as he tries his best to survive and as the story progresses, he discovers his business partner has been cooking the books on their Gym and Fight Club and owes a lot of money to a lot of shady gangsters.
This movie is a lot better than I expected, with some good character development as the film is set in "Real Time" and the ticking countdown clock pumps up the tension really well.
I am glad that the film was dubbed as I was too tired to read any subtitles last night.
I shall rate this action flick a score of 7/10.
