MR. HARRIGANS PHONE

Last night, I watched this supernatural drama on Netflix.

"When reclusive billionaire, Mr. Harrigan passes away, Craig, the teen who befriended and did odd jobs for him, and bonded over books and an iPhone, puts his smart phone in his friend's pocket before burial. When the lonely youth sends his dead friend a message, he is shocked to get a return text as he discovers that not everything dead is gone."
This is based off of a short story written by Stephen King and stars the late and great Donald Sutherland as Mr. Harrigan and Jaeden Martell as Craig.
Their friendship is the focal point of this film, and it's been advertised as a horror, it's not. there is no scary moments, no gore, nothing at all, you don't even see what happens to the "victims" of Mr. Harrigan's wrath on the orders of the bullied Craig.
This is a drama, a moving drama about friendship that passes beyond the gates of death, and the revenge of a lonely boy who has lost everything as he tries to grow as an adult as he misses his friend.
This is a real good film and it showcases the brilliance of the stars.
I shall rate this film a score of 8/10.
