"An American family inherit a farmhouse from a distant relative and move to Norway, where the young boy find's out that There's Something In the Barn. He tells a local historian on what he found and the local gives the boy a set of rules of what and what not to do in case things go horribly wrong, but as always, his parents do not believe him and they break all the rules and thus all chaos breaks loose!"
Whatever you do, do not watch the trailer as it does spoil a few things in the film, but trust me, this is one of the best Norwegian Christmas horror movies and it's up there with the likes of Rare Exports and Krampus.
The "Villains" of the film are just pure wonder and the make up/special effects are brilliant.
The American family (apart from the boy) are your typical annoying American family with constant gags about the lack of guns, etc.
The humour is very hilarious in a dry sense and the horror is slightly bloody and gory which I loved.
I highly recommend this movie and if you want to treat yourself to an early Christmas present and can afford just under a fiver, then go ahead and rent this film, you won't be disappointed.
I will rate this movie a score of 9/10.
