We got back from our shopping/exploration trip to a nearby town Guisborough about an hour ago and we are bloody knackered!
It was quite cold today despite yesterday being a heatwave, we felt it was more October weather instead of June's.
We were going to take our time and explore this ancient market town dating back from before the Domesday Book, with the cobbled streets and a ruined priory, but as usual, we got distracted by shopping instead!
We had a lush Sausage Sammich for breakfast from a breakfast hut and then we went searching for a gym for us both to attend to at a later date as the decent one with disabled facilities was shut down last week, and the only other one was quite shabby and I could not get inside.
We then found a beautiful witchy shop called "Willow Moon" down a snickleway but I could not get in either as the shop doorway was too narrow for my wheelchair and there was a kerb at the door to enter, so no wheelchair ramp for me! But that's the problem with living here in North Yorkshire, they do not cater for the disabled and people in wheelchairs, so a lot of shops I could not get into except for the bigger stores. It's the same here in Great Ayton where I live, the only place I can get into is the Co-Op store.
Anyway, we ventured forth over to another shopping district as the cobbled streets were doing my back and neck in trying to travel over them in my chair, I think I might need offroad tyres for my chair as I am in a lot of pain because of them!
We went over to B&M, which is an incredible store! It turns out that this branch is more of a supermega warehouse store, it seemed to go on for miles and miles! And we bought a lot! and I mean a lot! I spent a small fortune in there, thank you to my Debt Card! ❤
After that we did a massive shop at Morrisons supermarket and then Mo, our taxi driver came to pick us up to take us home as we were sleepy.
It was a good day, treated ourselves to some nice things and I bought a present for a friend as well.
Tonight, I'm just going to relax in front of the box and watch something to keep my mind occupied!
