I missed it the first time when it was shown here in the UK, so I'm glad that I have finally gotten round to watching this as I am a fan of Noah Wyle and Will Patton.
The series was quite good and I liked the look of the alien creatures and mech soldiers that the aliens used.
I do have some problems with the story and characters, for example, how healthy the survivors are looking (the same thing that happens in Zombie shows), how everything is Americans will save the day and the Aliens invade the capital and other cities. Why not show the impact of the invasion from other countries and how they cope with it all. I know it's an American show but it got too much with the final episode with the final conflict happens in Washington D.C.
Now my geography is not that brilliant in regards to America, but is there a coast next to the capital? as the hero, Tom Mason, takes his dead wife, Anna to the beach and coast of what could be the sea to ask for help from another Alien race to bring her back from the dead? I was a bit confused there.
Like I said, a very good series with some faults, but the final episode was really rubbish and made no sense at all, and at the end, they are all wearing smart suits and dresses, like everyone had gone shopping at the end.
Everyone is happy, despite that most of the World's population had been wiped off the face of the Earth and most of the world's major cities have been destroyed.
But hey, let's party!
Anyway, I will rate this whole 5 season series a rating of 7/10.
It was good, but could be better.
