Yesterday afternoon, we watched this mystery film on Netflix.
I am not a fan of the last movie but my wife wanted to watch this, so we did. I don't actually like the idea of Sherlock Holmes having a young sister, I'm sure Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would be spinning in his grave at this idea of an annoying little sister to his famous creation of Sherlock.
Millie Bobby Brown plays the teenage detective who often breaks the fourth wall and stares and gurns at the audience like a younger and thinner Miranda Hart did in her sitcom (Miranda) but so much better.
Henry Cavill stars as a shitty shadow of Sherlock Holmes, I don't understand people's fascination with the talentless wanker, he cannot act out of a paper bag!
You also had more wokeness in the characters, including a female black Moriarty!
They even had an Indian Doctor John Watson in an end credit cameo, played by the great Himesh Patel.
The story was okay and is slightly based on real events of the Matchstick Girls Strikes of 1888.
The problem I had was the acting!
I hope they don't make a third movie in this piss poor series.
I shall rate this film a score of 3/10, even the wife was not impressed by this!
