We were really looking forward to seeing this movie as we are both fans of playing D&D, we loved the original animated series, we love the actors who all did a wonderful job, and the action scenes were pretty amazing as was the story.
The whole heist story was well written and the fantasy creatures were all great as was the CGI.
But...
There was something missing from the movie, i can't put my finger on it but something seemed off and not quite right.
It was a very good film, but not that great or amazing!
I'm actually glad I just rented it instead of buying the film, I am actually slightly disappointed by the whole experience.
I admit the musical score was rubbish, and I'm sure the Beholder monster was in the trailer but not in the film, maybe I was seeing things in the trailer or maybe it was wishful thinking as I bought one for Candy as it's her favourite D&D monster.
I hope they do make a sequel and improve on this film as it could have been better.
So in this case, and I hate to say it but I will rate this movie a score of 8/10. It could have been better!
