Just watched this classic 90's coming of age comedy drama on Netflix.
I loved this film when it first came out in 1999 and I owned the movie poster, VHS, DVD (normal and extended), and CD soundtrack of this movie.
The film has an amazing cast, with nearly all the cast making this their feature film debut. - John Simm, Lorraine Pilkington, Shaun Parkes, Danny Dyer, Andrew Lincoln, Nicola Reynolds, and Richard Coyle.
The music is amazing as I do love dance, trance music.
And the story is decent as it follows a group of friends who all dislike their lives and need the weekend to put some energy and perceptive into what is to come in their young adult lives.
There is a lot of drug use but nothing that would trigger you, it's mostly talking about it and you don't really get to see much of them taking anything.
I have no problems with drug use in movies like this as it adds an element to the story.
In the 90's, I was not a huge raver or dance fiend, I did go to a few clubs to relax and have a drink, but I was not really into the dancing as I could not, but I do regret it now.
I really do like this film and I believe a lot of the acting was add-libbed by the likes of Danny Dyer and John Simm.
It's a sweet and funny film of frienfdship.
I shall rate this movie a score of 10/10.
"Nice One Geezer!"
