REST IN PEACE TO THE BUFFY VAMPIRE!
Rest in Peace to Paul Reubens who portrayed the vampire known as Amilyn in the 1992 film of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (Best death EVER! in BTVS) and he also portrayed Pee Wee Herman.
REMEMBERING RYGEL
It has been 11 years now, since we lost the actor who portrayed the voice of Dominar Rygel XVI aka Jonathan Hardy from the science fiction epic series "Farscape."
I actually own a part of the fur of Rygel in a special trading card that I bought.

Name: Citizen V
Alter Ego: John Watkins III
Origin: John is one in a long line of people to assume the mantle of the swashbuckling freedom fighter known as Citizen V. The legacy of the mantle dates back to World War 2 when John Watkins I, a lieutenant in the British Navy, was believed killed in battle though his death was faked and he returned as a masked undercover operative codenamed “Citizen V”. In this guise, John I aided the resistance in Nazi occupied France and created the group of freedom fighters called the V-Battalion. After being killed (along with most of his team) by Nazi scientist Baron Heinrich Zemo, John I’s mantle was taken up by his girlfriend French spy Paulette Brazee aka She-Wolf who led the Battalion in hunting war criminals after WWII ended. Later, John Watkins Jr. grew up and took up the identity though died when his son John III was only two years old. Eventually, Heinrich Zemo’s son Helmut took over the Citizen V persona in a failed attempt to pose as a hero to gain Earth’s trust then conquer the world. Following Helmut’s exposure and defeat, Dallas Riordan a young woman who had suffered due to Helmut’s schemes was approached by the V-Battalion to be the 5th Citizen V (which she did primarily to hunt down and get revenge on Baron Zemo). After a brief stint in the costume, Dallas moved on and John Watkins III rose up to take on the mantle started by his grandfather and continue the family legacy of combatting injustice and ensuring freedom for all.
Powers/Abilities: John Watkins III is a normal human being with no special powers. He is considerably athletic and fit, possibly peak human as he laid in a coma for five years and woke up with no noticeable decline in performance. Trained from birth (like his father before him) to one day take up the Citizen V identity and having been an active field agent before he actually did, John is a highly talented athlete, marksman, strategist, swordsman, knife thrower and martial artist. Citizen V’s primary weapons are an adamantium saber which is virtually indestructible and capable of slicing most material and a pistol. Other items he uses include but aren’t limited to: grappling hooks, an armored suit with built in cloaking device, and the V-Wing (a collapsible flying platform similar to the gliders used by the Green Goblin and Hobgoblin).
Random Trivia: Captain America has made mention of meeting the original Citizen V in World War 2. While John Watkins II was stated to be the first Citizen V’s son, it’s implied his mother had an affair with Baron Heinrich Zemo while she was sent undercover to spy on him. Helmut Zemo chose to impersonate Citizen V (and pretend to be the original’s grandson) partially as a cruel and ironic joke as Helmut’s father killed the original Citizen V. At one point, John’s comatose body was possessed by Zemo’s disembodied consciousness. The “V” in the character’s name is a reference to the common WW2 slogan “V for Victory!”

HIDDEN STRIKE
This afternoon, we watched this awesome action adventure comedy film on Netflix.
It stars Jackie Chan and John Cena, the film was made back in 2018 but only got released last month on Netflix.
It was filled with a lot of action, with awesome stunts from vehicle combat to martial arts. the story was quite good as well as was the humour, Cena and Chan work really well together and I hope they make another film together.
I shall rate this movie a score of 9/10.

WALKING TALL
Last night, I watched this 2004 action film starring Dwayne Johnson (who went by the name of The Rock back then) and he did a decent early acting job in his role.
The film is loosely based on the so-called American Folk Hero "Buford Pusser" that has inspired 6 movies and 2 TV series, as well as several books.>
The film was alright with a decent cast of actors and the story was not that bad but there was something missing from it and I can't say what. so in this case, I shall rate this flick a score of 5/10.

ATOM EVE
This afternoon, we watched this "Invincible" one-off special - "Invincible: Atom Eve."
It explores the origin story of Atom Eve, the girlfriend of the main character Invincible.
This special is very brutal and incredibly action packed.
I have never read her origin story before in the comic books, so all of this brand new to me. Atom Eve is quite powerful.
I shall rate this animated movie a score of 10/10.

REMO WILLIAMS
Last night, I watched this classic 1985 action adventure film on Freevee.
Remo: Unarmed and Dangerous also known as Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. It's loosely based off the 70's pulp novel series "The Destroyer."
I last watched this back in the early 90's when we rented the VHS from our Video Rental Van that came to our street, once a week.
It stars the late great Fred Ward, Joel Grey, J. A. Preston, The late Wilford Brimley, and Kate Mulgrew.
I absolutely love this film and I'm glad to hear that the director Shane Black will be making a brand new film which will be called "The Destroyer."
I will rate this tongue in cheek adventure movie a score of 9/10.

BLOCKBUSTERS
I actually miss working at Blockbusters in Oldbrook, Milton Keynes.
I worked there from 1997-2000 and I rose through the ranks from starting off as a Part timer to Full Time, to 4 Star Supervisor, to Assistant Manager, to Store Manager.
I made some decent friends and enemies (Ian Morgan) but it was a stressful job at times but I worked long hours and I enjoyed it.
There was many perks to the job as well 😉 😉 😉
It's a shame it has now gone, but it was one of the few decent places I worked at (Apart from FP, UCI, Virgin Megastore, and Just Flowers)

TEN
TEN
My spirit has become vulnerable over the years, as my soul rages against the hardships and suffering that I’ve experienced.
Intense lightning flashes across my vision as I momently go blind with pain.
I start to cry as I wonder what did I do to deserve this punishment?
I look down to where my legs should be, and the only evidence I have of them are two deformed stumps that are still bleeding and hurting, even after all these years of being a cripple.
I shake with intense anger at what happened, I even hug myself to sleep at night, to feel comfort and normal, but I will never be normal again.
Quite often I imagine what it would feel like to walk, to run, to even step on a Lego piece. But those memories fade away from my headworld as I gaze into a mirror, to watch myself cry as tears stream down my swollen face, just so I could see my image as someone normal, and then I look down again at the nothing, at the absence of me.
It’s been a decade now since I fell to the floor, begging my wife to let go of me, so she would not fall with me and hurt herself, but I know she was already hurting.
I remember looking down at my twisted legs and my right ankle which is in an odd position as it had twisted right round, facing backwards with a gaping hole in my ankle, with my bloody white bone sticking out, peeking out a “Hello” at my twisted expression and painful face as tears stream down my face.
Ten years have gone by, as the pain is still there, not only in my mind but also in what is left of my legs, the physical and phantom pains that I suffer are off the scale that some days I wish for it all to end and I will be at peace, but my loved ones will never be at peace if I am.
So, I continue, trying on living what life I have left now.
I miss walking…I miss wearing socks…I miss the old Jason.

Last night, I watched this epic 3hr 7min Indian action drama on Netflix.
It centers around fictional versions of two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, their friendship, and their fight against the British Raj as they try to rescue a young tribal girl taken by the British and turned into a slave. Both men initially work on opposing sides and have their own agendas but they team up in the end to fight the British.
This film is EPIC! The action scenes are amazing, the best I've seen ever, far better than any Hollywood movie, the usual singing and dancing sections of the movie was amazing! and the story did not fall flat nor was it boring as the 3 hours swept by that I was surprised that there was no moments where your attention dipped.
The late and great actor Ray Stevenson played the evil British governor of the land and he and his wife were EVIL! Some of the British torture scenes were a tiny bit brutal that even I was like "Damn that's harsh" But it was not what you get in American "Torture" films.
In the end, Good overcame Evil and historically these two heroes never met in real life, but this is a "What if" they did meet and what they could accomplish together as warriors!
The version on Netflix was dubbed which was quite good and I don't mind that.
I shall rate this movie a score of 10/10.

LAST SENTINEL
I've just watched this incredibly boring sci-fi thriller on Freevee.
The film is about a group of 4 soldiers who are stranded on an abandoned military base in the middle of the sea on a near future Earth (2063) as the oceans have flooded the whole planet except for two continents who are at war with each other. They are waiting for the relief or the enemy, whichever comes first.
The film is what is described as a bottle movie, with only a couple of sets and only 4 actors. There is no action, nor is there any decent story as I had to try and stay awake watching this shit.
I do not recommend this crap. I shall rate this a score of 1/10.

RENTAGHOST
1976 saw the start of one of the most horrific shows ever on the BBC. It tells the tale of Fred Mumford, a man drowned at sea, whose corpse still lies undiscovered in the depths. His ghost walks the Earth and is able to visit his parents. Comedy ensues as he has to hide from them the fact that he is in fact the shade of their dead son.
Imagine their horror if his body is ever discovered and they realise that they were visited by him long after his death.
Rentaghost is quite dark if you think about it.

TOY SOLDIERS
Last night, I watched this action thriller from 1991, I have only ever seen this film once, back when it first came out, so I had forgotten a lot about this movie. So when it came out on Freevee, I rewatched it and really enjoyed it.
A damn good cast with a decent storyline and action scenes.
I highly recommend this movie if you have not yet seen it.
I shall rate this film a score of 9/10.

SAIL AMSTERDAM!
