THREE LEY LINES. From its earliest time of planning Milton Keynes Development Corporation knew exactly where the New City Centre would be located. Behind what is now the civic offices during Anglo Saxon times could be found the court meeting place of government for the tribe. Celebrating this Milton Keynes Development Corporation drew three lines on its plan about which the New City would be built. One of these LEY LINE is Avebury Boulevard named after Avebury Stones. These are a Neolithic monument containing three circles of stones, it is the largest megalithic stone circle in the world.
