Due to a recommendation from a friend of mine, I watched this classic 1987 supernatural horror film on Prime Video.
"Two young boys accidentally unleash a horde of malevolent pintsize demons from a mysterious hole in their suburban backyard, and they must find a way to close the gate to Hell."
I have never heard of this film before, nor have I ever seen the cover for it in any of the retail shops that I've worked in that sold VHS or DVD. Which is a surprise as this is the type of movie that I would have watched as a kid.
This film stars a very young Stephen Dorff as the lead kid. He was 13 years old when he filmed this movie, and to think, 10 years later he will appear as the evil vampire in "Blade."
The special effects are really good for it's time as was the story.
The only downside for me in regards to this film was that nobody got killed, I was hoping for some of the older teenagers to have been killed by the demons as they were annoying and deserved the fate that they should have gotten.
In the end, the heroes saved the day and this film is bloody brilliant, a cult classic in my eyes.
I shall rate this film a 7/10. I highly recommend this movie.
Cheers S.C. Denton for letting me know about this gem!
