The Revenant is Ezekiel Wright, a costumed adventurer from the 1930's era. He was formerly a magician's stage assistant on Broadway, until a racist rival accused Wright of having felt up a white woman. Rather than be left to rot by a corrupt legal system, Wright went on the run and became the Revenant
