THE HOWLING COMMANDOS

The Howling Commandos of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Not Nick Fury's WWII squad, but a team of monsters and supernatural beings assembled by Dum-Dum Dugan to deal with paranormal threats. The Howling Commandos proved to be enough a success that S.H.I.E.L.D. established a dedicated supernatural division, the Special Threat Assessment for Known Extranormalities, or S.T.A.K.E..
The Howling Commandos roster tends to fluctuate, but the team pictured here is Orrgo, Manphibian, Zombie Jasper Sitwell, Vampire by Night, Dum-Dum Dugan, Hit-Monkey, Man-Thing, Warwolf, and Teen Abomination. Other members have included Lilith, Glob, Brother Voodoo, and the Living Mummy.
