Huldra (also Skogsra or Tallemaja) is a species of fairy or spirit of the forests. She is described as a beautiful and seductive woman, with a hole in her back resembling an old trunk and a tail of a fox or a cow. Huldras are always female and are endowed with superhuman strength, supernatural powers and high resistance to injuries. According to the legends, they usually appear to humans in the mist or rain, in a gentle and friendly way. They are usually dressed like ladies, and they bother to hide their tails beneath their skirts and the hole in their backs with their hair. They have hyperactive sexual urges and like to seduce and lure men into the woods with the goal of having sex with them. If the man attracted to a Huldra is able to satisfy his sexual needs, he will leave him alive and even bless him with his power. However, if the man can not satisfy her, she will kill him. Even if a man can sexually satisfy a Huldra, it does not guarantee his safety, as he becomes obsessed with her and will return every day to relate to her. Eventually, you will end up exhausted and if you can not satisfy it, you will be killed. Like other types of fairies, the Huldras kidnap human children and leave behind one of their own children in their place. They may also marry mortal men, but they can not enter into churches. If you do, your tail will fall and your beauty will turn into eternal ugliness.
