DOKKALFAR

According to Norse mythology the Dökkálfar (or Svartálfar) were the black elves who settled in the dark realm of Svartalfheim. They originated from the decomposition of giant Ymir and had a grotesque appearance, short stature and long beards. Like dwarves these beings are also associated with rocks, precious and semiprecious stones and metals.
