Gullinbursti is in Nordic mythology a giant golden boar belonging to the god Frey. Her name means "Golden Bristle," related to her hair made of gold strands that shone like the sun and made plants grow wherever they went. With his fangs, Gullinbursti cleansed the earth, thus teaching men how to plow it. It is said that he was faster than any horse, and could still walk through the sky and the sea.
