Tachyon, another member of the Guardians, Earth's mightiest heroes. Tachyon is a speedster capable of moving at unearthly speed. He can generate electricity and often does by accident while moving. Tachyon is capable of running fast enough to ascend walls and cross water without sinking. (Amazingly enough, he has never shocked or shorted himself out because of his electrical generation while crossing water.)
And to address the great ape in the room, yes, Tachyon is a gorilla. A fully sentient gorilla. He is capable of speaking English (though he has an odd method of pronouncing certain words due to the natural shape of his throat, mouth, and tongue), and is easily as smart as any human.
He's not sure of his origin, but DNA analysis has revealed that sometime in his past, his genome was tampered with. He has no memort of it happening.
In addition to his work as a superhero, he is an ardent conservationist and an advocate for the protection of the world's ape species.
