Last night, I finished watching season 2 and 3 of the crime drama Lupin on Netflix.
"Inspired by the adventures of Arsène Lupin, gentleman thief Assane Diop (Omar Sy) sets out to avenge his father's death for an injustice inflicted by a wealthy family."
Arsène Lupin is a character created by French novelist and short story writer, Maurice Leblanc, in 1905, and this series is not about him, but a character who is a huge fan of the books and a gentleman thief himself.
The series is brilliantly dubbed which I'm glad about as I don't mind dubbed shows as well as subtitled ones too.
Omar Sy does a brilliant job as Assange Diop as he plans each step in getting his revenge for his father's death, as well as all his crimes.
In season three, he fakes his death and also rescues his mother from a gang of criminals.
It has the feel of the British crime show "Hustle" to it.
I will rate these two seasons, which season three does end on a cliffhanger, a score of 9/10.
It's well worth a watch.
