I've just watched this Submarine Thriller on Amazon Prime.
It is loosely based on the real-life events involving the sinking of the submarine K-129 in 1968. and it tells the story of a Soviet Navy submarine captain attempting to prevent a World War III.
It has got a damn good cast list of American actors portraying Russians (as you do).
The cast includes - Ed Harris as the Captain, William Fichtner as the second in command, David Duchovny as the evil KGB agent, Jason Beghe as the Chief Medical Officer, Sean Patrick Flanery as a Lt, and the legendary Lance Henriksen as the Commodore.
The story is quite decent as well as the action scenes.
It is typical with all submarine movies that you must have a mutiny, as it is a staple of these stories.
The film does make up a lot of things of what might or might not have happened on board, and that's fine with me.
I shall rate this flick a score of 6/10.
The cast list, I think made the film.
