I watched this movie when it first came out on this date in 1997.
26 years ago, I went to the cinema to watch this film with my now ex-girlfriend and it was awesome!
This is basically a haunted house in outer space, as the space ship "Event Horizon" has been to the depths of Hell in a way to travel vast distances by folding reality together for instant travel, but something went wrong and now 7 years later, it has emerged in the orbit of Neptune and a rescue ship is sent out to recover any survivors, but what they find is far worse than they realise.
The cast list is damn good, we have Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, Joely Richardson, Richard T. Jones, Jack Noseworthy, Jason Isaacs, and Sean Pertwee.
The storyline is brilliant as was the special effects.
Now there are a lot of jump scares and it's incredibly gory, which I loved.
When I watched this with my ex-g/f, she was jumping at all the scary bits and dug her fingernails into my flesh! lol
I love this film so much and it's one of the best sci-fi horror movies out there.
I shall rate this movie a score of 9/10.
