My Aunt Trudie (by marriage) was forced as a kid into the Hitler Youth, but she also ended up in one of the concentration camps. She use to show me the tattooed numbers on her arm, and tell me stories in broken English. There was a lot she did not tell me and I understood the reasons why.
She was a sweet lady but had sadness behind her eyes.
