White Ravens have long been a subject of myth and legend. One version of a legend from the indigenous tribes of the Northwest says that raven was originally white but was turned black from the smoke when it brought fire to man. In one Native American prophecy it is said that the white raven will return when humans become spiritual again. Most of us have probably never even heard of white ravens -- until now.
Viking lore tells us that Odin sent out ravens to learn what was going on in the world. In Greek mythology,
Apollo’s white ravens also brought messages to humans, as servants of the god of oracles.
According to Greek and Roman mythology, Apollo sent a white raven, or crow in some versions to spy on his lover, Coronis. When the raven brought back the news that Coronis had been unfaithful to him, Apollo scorched the raven in his fury, turning the animal's feathers black.
Chinese, Tibetan, Siberian and Native American folklore hold that the raven is a symbol of the sun. In Chinese mythology, a three legged raven lives in the sun, representing the sun’s three phases: rising, noon and setting. In native American tales the Raven steals the sun and is forced to give it back. In Siberian mythology, Kutkh, the raven spirit, brings light to the earth in several ways, either by peeling away the stones that cover the earth; by producing the sun from his beak; or by tricking other deities to give light to the earth.
In Lapland, the folklore of the Saami people talks of the raven’s feather of knowledge, called, the laevedolge. This special feather gives the raven its knowledge about the ways of the wolf and how to find food.
White Ravens signify justice. If you have done good or bad, the white raven comes to tell you that your future will reflect that. Similar to karma, the white raven comes to tell you that what goes around comes around. Raven spirit animals want you to act so you can have a bright future.
The White Raven is a sign of miracles manifesting themselves. It is a time of prophetic unfolding. Pay attention. If you do not yet see signs of this positive omen, it is truth that you have much work to do.
A White raven is something extraordinary to be seen, since they represent a rare natural phenomenon.
In symbolical sense, white ravens represent purity, light, and positive energy. If a person sees a white raven or, more likely, dreams about it, it is an extremely good omen.
A White Raven sighting indicates spiritual cleansing, discovering a new life path, being pure minded, good hearted, and in harmony with the world. White ravens are considered a blessing.

Best known in our genre for starring in the Superhero movie "The Rocketeer" as Peevy, and "The Return of Captain Invincible" as the title character.
This afternoon, we watched this animated film on Paramount+ which I rented for £3.49.
I have never seen any of the series of "The Batman" so it was quite new to me and this version of the Joker was very different from what I'm use too, but he was alright, I did like the design of The Penguin and Count Dracula.
The storyline was pretty decent as was the animation.
I've only just read up on the series, so now I know this Batman is in the early days of his crimefighting career, which now makes a lot more sense.
I really enjoyed this film, and I would not mind seeing the whole series on DVD.
I shall rate this movie a score of 8/10.
The Tunguska Event occurred in 1908.
It is still unknown what caused it, Speculation that is an asteroid has not been verified. I think it could have been a UFO landing or crash.

A statue of Alice Nutter , based in roughlee at the bottom of pendle hill in east Lancashire, sent to trial in 1612 for being an alledged witch and hanged at Lancaster castle a year later.
Þrídrangaviti, which translates as “three rocks”, was built in 1939, soon before the start of World War II. Located near the Vestmannaeyjar Islands, Iceland, the lighthouse sits on the highest of the three rocks, which is called Háidrangur, or High Rock in English.
Nowadays, the lighthouse is accessible by helicopter and even features a small helipad to make landing there easier, but back in 1938, when work on it began, helicopters hadn’t yet been invented. Brave workers had to to scale the 120-foot-high rock to reach the pinnacle, where they laid the foundation of the lighthouse by hand, while ensuring that the strong winds and rain didn’t send them plunging into the freezing North Atlantic Ocean.

This afternoon, we finally watched the ending of this great anime-influenced adventure television series on Netflix.
Two groups of survivors find themselves washed up on the (in)famous Skull Island with a savage girl and her pet Lion-Dog as they must find a way to survive and help/use King Kong to get off the isle alive or die trying!
The voice cast are amazing and very realistic in their portrayals.
The animation is really good as well and the storyline is brilliant, with a few neat twists and the series does end on a number of cliff-hangers, the series is very graphic and gory which I loved!
The downside is that the series is only 8 episodes long!
I shall rate this series a score of 10/10.

The Tommyknocks, found deep within coal mines, are said to be about two feet tall and often described as greenish in color. They look like men and are most often spied wearing a traditional miner’s outfit. Living beneath the ground, they have been “known” to have committed both good and bad deeds through the centuries, often playing practical jokes and committing random acts of mischief, such as stealing unattended tools and food.
The name “knockers” comes from the knocking on the mine walls that often happens just before cave-ins. Caused by the creaking of earth and timbers, some thought these sounds of “hammering” were malevolent, indicating certain death or injury. Others saw their “knocking” as well-meaning, warning the miners that a life-threatening collapse was imminent. Yet, others believed that the knocking sounds would lead them to a rich ore body and or signs of good luck.

They need to reboot this cartoon, as D&D is still very popular.
Remembering the great actor Patrick Macnee who passed away 8 years ago today.
He is best known as playing Sir John Steed from The Avengers and The New Avengers.
Last night, I watched this British sci-fi comedy on Paramount+ for which I rented for the price of £1.99.
A great cast, including the voices of the Monty Python team as giant Aliens that grant a Human being ultimate power to do anything, as they judge the Earth to see if they shall be welcomed into the Intergalactic Council of Worlds.
It's a daft and silly movie and shows what a normal bloke would do, if he has ultimate power, but in the end and after many mishaps, he does good in the end and get's the woman of his dreams.
His best friend is his Dog called Dennis, voiced by the great and late actor Robin Williams.
This was a good film and worth the rental price.
The only downside of it was that they wasted some acting talent in this from the likes of Sanjeev Bhaskar, Robert Bathurst, Dame Joanna Lumley, and Meera Syal. Which was a great shame.
I shall rate this film a score of 6/10.
In the Worlds of D&D, Terry Crews would make a great Bard/Barbarian.
Last night, I watched this classic pulp superhero movie on Paramount+ dated from 1994.
I use to own the VHS and DVD of this brilliant movie starring Alec Baldwin. The last couple of nights, I have been watching the 90's films based on Pulp heroes (The Rocketeer and The Phantom) and this seems sadly to be the last one that came out.
This was an awesome film and the special effects were really good, as was the acting and writing.
This has more pulp noir feel to it then the other two movies I mentioned.
I love this film and the soundtrack is awesome!
I will rate this movie a score of 10/10.
