Yesterday afternoon, we watched this really awesome and very funny tongue in cheek creature feature horror comedy on Paramount+ that cost me £4.49 to rent, but it was worth every penny.
" A nuclear accident transforms a pack of horseshoe crabs into murderous monsters. The crabs descend on a sleepy coastal town on Prom night, and only a ragtag group of outcasts can save the day."
This movie is totally stupid but stupid in the most clever, brilliant, FUN way, it's a mad, monstrous B-movie creature feature that combines the humour and practical effects of Gremlins and Critters with a nice dosage of Kaiju and Mecha attacks, with ample amounts of blood and gore.
The film, I admit doesn't make a lot of sense, and it doesn’t bother trying, it is low budget with a lot of charm and fun.
The character of Radu is outstanding and he is very funny (in a goofball way) with a hilarious European accent. He even sings the end song which was funny.
The hero of the story is Phillip, a nerd genius in a wheelchair that is very good at building electronic equipment and weapons to help his brother and girlfriend to fight back these not so scary Crabs!
I shall rate this a score of 9/10 and I will watch this again and again.
