SUBSPACE RHAPSODY

This afternoon, My wife and I watched Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S2 Ep 9 - "Subspace Rhapsody." This is the (in)famous musical episode that some fans of Trek are not happy about.
I don't know why as it was bloody awesome!
It does remind me of the Buffy episode "Once More With Feeling."
Basically the plot is that a subspace anomaly causes everybody on board the Enterprise to break out in song and dance and they must find a way to stop this virus from spreading across the galaxy and to other Federation ships, but they fail and even the Klingons are affected. so now they must find a way to save the day whilst singing some pretty personal songs and expressing their innermost feelings that they want to keep hidden, including feelings for their loved ones. The music is great as was some of the dancing. The best singers were the characters of La'an, Spock, Chapel, Uhura, and even Jim Kirk. the other characters did an alright job but they were not as accomplished.
The end song with the Klingons was very unexpected and funny!
Watch through the whole episode including the beginning and end intros as they are great.
Every show should have a musical number in them at least once.
Remember that even the original actors of Kirk and Spock would love this as they themselves released their own musical albums back in the day. and music was highly featured in Next Gen, DS9, and Voyager as characters liked to sing and in the case of Data, dance! So don't get all prissy with the fact that we have a wonderful musical episode and that SNW is trying to do something different instead of the usual "Alien World" of the week episode.
I shall rate this episode an amazing 10/10.
