MY FAVOURITE HALLOWEEN MOVIE
One of my favourite Halloween movies - "Halloween III: Season of the Witch"
THE WEREWOLF CURSE OF THE VILLAGE OF STANTON LOW
"In around 1485 the village was gripped by panic when livestock started being slain and children went missing. The only explanation? A werewolf. Not wanting to be the next victims, people started leaving from around 1487. By 1516 Stanton Low was deserted, with only the church still in use. In 1520 a nearby seasonal farmhand called Thomas Pipe was captured by a militia and accused of shape-shifting. In St Peter’s Church he was restrained by a mob whilst two priests tried to drive the evil from him. As he writhed and snarled, Pipe cursed Stanton Low to never thrive again and foretold the church would crumble to dust. He let out a long, wolf-like howl and then passed away.
This local lore is told in the 1890 publication ‘The Unnatural Lore of England’ and documented in the Save St. Peter’s Church archive collection that we look after. Stanton Low never did recover and became deserted on two more occasions. By 1950 the church had also been abandoned and its ruins are now a feature of Stanton Low Park.
Some people still hear the eerie howls of a wolf whilst they explore the deserted village."

GOTH SUPREMES
I have always wanted to go to Whitby during Halloween for the Goth Weekend Celebrations.
I'm not a Goth, but I would still dress up as one.

LET THE WRONG ONE IN
This afternoon, we watched this very funny Irish Horror Comedy film that I bought for £5.99 on Amazon Prime.
A young nice lad is in a dilemma when his older waster of a brother wants to be let into his home as he is getting a very bad case of sunburn and a craving for blood. The fun begins when he lets him in and finds out the truth that his brother is a creature of the night!
This film is bloody hilarious and I was crying with laughter throughout most of it.
Anthony Head (Giles from Buffy) has a guest spot as a Vampire Hunter who trains the young lad up in the ways of destroying the Vampires.
The special effects are basic and cheesy but it's done on purpose and the use of blood is everywhere and I mean everywhere!
The Irish humour was brilliant and for the Americans, you might need subtitles if you can read them that fast.
This is going to be on my list of Top Ten of Vampire Comedies.
I shall rate this a resounding and bloody 10/10.

THE TRUE STORY OF CINDERELLA
Did you know that throughout the years, many writers from different countries and cultures wrote their own version of Cinderella? There was the story of Rhodopis in ancient Greece, the story of Yeh-Shen from China, and the Italian story about Zezolla. However, the grimmest of them all came from the Brothers Grimm, which includes a bloody shoe.
There was a young girl whose wicked stepmother and stepsisters treated her as a slave, forced her to sleep on the hearth among the cinders, and gave her the nickname Cinderella. Instead of having a fairy godmother, Cinderella had a tree on her mother’s grave, watered with her tears, that granted her wishes. After going to the ball, Cinderella loses her golden shoe, which was found by the prince, who then decided to test every young woman to find its owner.
When the stepsisters tried on the shoe, their feet won’t fit. So, their mother convinced both of them to cut portions of their feet in order to fit in the shoe. The prince saw the blood filling the shoe and demanded to see any other young woman in the household. When the prince finally found Cinderella, the bloody shoe was a perfect fit, and they left to be married.
On their wedding day, Cinderella’s stepsisters came in hopes of getting in the good graces of the soon-to-be princess. While at the wedding, two pigeons came and picked out the eyes of the sisters, condemning them to a life of blindness as punishment for their wickedness.

SOUTH PARK: JOINING THE PANDERVERSE
Last night, I watched this South Park special on Paramount+
"South Park: Joining the Panderverse."
I have not watched South Park in nearly 20 years and it's still very funny.
The show is still very close to the knuckle and very true in what they say about events.
I found this to be incredibly funny.
I shall rate it a strong 9/10.

ASSASSIN CLUB
Last night, I watched this action thriller on Amazon Prime.
A group of assassins are hired to kill each other off for a prize but one lone assassin who wants out of the game finds out there is a bigger conspiracy behind it all.
It stars Henry Golding, Noomi Rapace, and Sam Neill.
The film was very action packed and the European scenery was beautiful.
I shall rate this movie a score of 7/10.

DAMN ISRAEL TO HELL!
The People of Palestine are being eradicated by the despicable and evil Israel Forces.
Over 7,300 innocent Palestinian civilians have already being murdered.
The powers have been cut off in Gaza, so No Food, No Gas, No Electricity, No Water and No Escape!
And now there is a huge Information Blackout as Israel has pulled the plug and they are wiping out the Men, Women, and Children.
But does anybody care? Who is Helping these innocent people?
and who is providing money and weapons to the Evil that is Israel?

PLANE
This afternoon, we watched this action thriller on Amazon Prime.
Gerard Butler is a pilot of a passenger plane and he must rescue his crew and passengers, when they crash land on a war torn island, his only help is a prisoner who is being extradited by the FBI.
The two of them team up and there is a lot more to the prisoner then meets the eye.
The film is really good and is a simple action flick that suppressed a lot of my expectations which was good.
I shall rate this movie a score of 9/10.

CRAWLSPACE
Last night, I watched this action thriller on Netflix.
"Robert (played by Henry Thomas from E.T.) is a normal family man and plumber who finds himself trapped in the crawlspace of a remote Oregon cabin where ruthless killers have stashed their ill-gotten gains, he must decide if the crawlspace will be his tomb or the battleground in his fight for survival."
The hero is very clever and uses his Macgyver style skills in defeating the enemy as all he wants to do is to get home to his wife and child.
Their are a few twists that involves the local Police Force and the FBI which was a bit too easy to work out and the villains were really dumb hicks and they deserved everything they got.
This is a very low budget action thriller which was actually quite good and I enjoyed it.
I shall rate this movie a score of 7/10.

This Rift Valley is located in Pinglu, a mountainous area in north-central China that covers about 400,000 square kilometers. It was formed because of movements inside the Earth's crust and is about 10 km long.

INDIAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS
"This day, the 24th October in 1801, British hanged freedom fighters Periya Marudhu and Chinna Marudhu, both brothers, also known as Marudhu Pandiyars and Marudhu brothers. They won battles against the Nawab of Arcot and the British.
Periya Marudhu and Chinna Marudhu were experts in guerrilla warfare techniques. They invented the valari, a weapon consisting of two limbs set at an angle in wood or iron. It is a variant of the boomerang. They used it in war against the nawab and the British.
Marudhu Pandiyars helped Rani Velu Nacchiyar win a battle against the British in 1780 and regain the kingdom of Sivagangai in Tamil Nadu. The final battle victory was facilitated by Kuyili, the commander of the women wing of the Rani’s forces, described in Chapter 12 in #SaffronSwords Part I (grpr.in/swa).
The Marudhu Pandiyars played key roles in administration of Sivagangai kingdom and were also appointed as commanders. Marudhu Pandiyars defeated the Nawab of Arcot and captured parts of their territory in 1789. The nawab in turn sought help of the British and the latter attacked Kollangudi in retaliation. Marudhu’s forces defeated the British in this battle too. It was the same year, i.e. 1789.
The Marudhus were also in close association with freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomman (his story is also described in Saffron Swords 1). After the British hanged Kattabomman in 1799, Marudhus gave asylum to his brother Maveeran Oomadurai.
The fight by the Marudhu brothers against the British continued unabated. They were involved in several skirmishes against the enemies and also helped fellow freedom fighters. They motivated the people of their kingdom to drive away the British, fight till their last breath and never accept British supremacy. Marudhu brothers were caught by the British and hanged in the fort of Tirupputhur in Sivagangai. It was 24th October 1801.
And we are told we attained freedom 'bina khadag bina dhal'!
Naman to all the warriors who defended Dharma and motherland.

APOCALYPSE CLOWN
Last night, I watched this post-apocalyptic horror comedy on Netflix.
It's a very funny, warm, sweet, and weird Irish horror comedy film as a a group of failed washed up clowns are forced to traverse the Irish countryside for one last shot at their dreams and to be heroes that Ireland does not need or want.
I do not know any of the actors but that does not matter. My favourite clown in the group of heroes is "Funzo" who is a weird and scary pocket rocket of a woman. She is funny!
I loved this film very much and it's low budget, which is never a bad thing. The ending is funny as you expect from Clowns.
I shall rate this movie a score of 7/10.
