IMAGINARY FRIENDS
Zannas are creatures in Romanian folklore, and appear to children as "imaginary friends." The purpose of the zannas is to protect children and give them guidance, once they feel the child is a good place and see their guidance is no longer needed they will move on to another child and begin the cycle again.

THE HITMAN'S WIFE'S BODYGUARD
This afternoon, we watched this action comedy film on Netflix.
It's the sequel to "The Hitman's Bodyguard."
It is hilariously funny and full of action gunplay and explosions which is always fun. the language was rather foul and fruity, so if you get offended by swear words, then this is a movie not for you!
So in that aspect, I loved it and learnt some new offensive swear words!
The cast list were brilliant and the main cast were joined by the legendary Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, and Antonio Banderas.
If you love fun action packed flicks, then you will love this film.
I shall rate this movie a score of 8/10.

WITCH STONES
If you find a stone with a hole in it, know that it is a "witch stone".
The pierced stones are not simple stones...
In many traditions they have an esoteric and magical meaning.
Even in Italy there are many popular beliefs about the so-called “ witch stones. According to some Nordic cultures, pierced stones are a gift that nature wishes to give to those who find them.
In Europe this cult dates back to the Celts, who considered the Circle a sacred symbol within which the human spiritual evolution capable of giving harmony with the Universe took place. For this, the small hole found on the witch stones is a very special feature. Witch stones, drilled from side to side, are a symbol to be worshipped, a gift of nature, or of the gods.
The stones are pierced in a completely natural way, thanks to the effect of the air, water, animals, and for this reason they represent nature and can bring luck.
Also, according to tradition, they have real magical powers: healing powers, protection from curses, witches and diseases. It was said that they could induce sleep and ward off nightmares.
Another ability associated with witch stones is to open windows on the world of invisible spirits like the little people.
Legend has it that if you look through the hole in the stone, you can see fairies, gnomes, elves and goblins.
They have a particular bond with female deities, as they are auspicious for fertility and therefore favor births.
In Italy witch stones are considered very powerful talismans. In the Veronese countryside they indicate protection of the house and livestock, in the Treviso countryside they indicate personal protection. In Rocca Pietore (province of Belluno) they are used to ward off unevolved spirits; in Mantova they are said to bring benefits for fertility. In Friuli they are used to meet the fairies.
So, when you walk in the woods, in the countryside or in the rivers, take a good look at what nature has to offer you and always remember that witch stones can bring you so much luck.

THE FRIENDS
There’s a certain park, somewhere in the north-west of England. I don’t want to name it, because I would not want to encourage anyone to visit it to see what you might find, because you might find what you are looking for and then very much wish that you didn’t.
If you live in that place though, you might know this park already, because it may have been you that decided to cut through it one night. You wouldn’t normally do that, but it was freezing cold and there were no taxis to be found, and cutting through the park would mean you would be home, warm, and in bed at least twenty minutes earlier.
You listened out, as you walked, for drunk groups or following footsteps, but it was perhaps too cold even for people who might wish others harm. The grass and the path were sparkling with frost, and your own breath made little clouds in front of you.
Up a small rise, just past one of the ponds, the bushes came close to the path. As you reached the top of the rise the bushes shook and shivered, and you stopped, flight or fight response kicking in, your heart faster, your muscles ready to move.
A child stepped out, no more than eight or ten. You let out a breath and then your fear was replaced with concern, and you asked what he was doing there, what was wrong, were they not cold. He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt with a jumper over the top, not enough for a night like this, out too late for a night like this.
“I’m with the friends,” he said, in a very flat voice, as if he were asking you the time.
You looked around. There was no one else in sight. Well, where were they, and what were they doing out so late, your mum and dad must be…
“There’s just the friends,” he said, and this time you realised it was odd that he didn’t refer to them as ‘my friends.’ “And they’re in here.” The boy gestured back at the bush.
You called for them to come out, but no one did. “If you want to meet the friends,” the boy said, “you have to come in.” He waved back at the bush again.
You said no, they all had to come out now, and if they didn’t or weren’t there, well the boy had to come with you and you would ring his parents.
“I don’t have any parents,” the boy said. “Just the friends,” and he stepped back and disappeared into the bush.
You stood there for a moment, caught in indecision. You couldn’t leave the boy, but you didn’t want to go into the bushes, you would not go into the bushes. Then they shivered and shook again, and before you could think your body knew better and you started to run. When you were out of the park, you found a working phone box and picked the phone up with your coat sleeve stretched down over your hands, and dialled with the back of your knuckles. You told the police that there was a boy in the park, and then you went home and into bed but you were not warm, and you did not sleep.
For months you kept reading the local news, terrified you would see a story about a lost child, found dead.
You never did.
Just, every few months, a story of someone on a night out who never made it home.

YOU PEOPLE!
This afternoon, we watched this Rom-Com Drama on Netflix.
Surprisingly it was a very good film of culture clashes between the Jewish and Black people in L.A.
It follows a young couple who fall in love and their respective strict families and it examines family dynamics amidst clashing cultures, societal expectations and generational differences.
I found this movie to be quite funny as the Jewish and Black people often take the mickey out of themselves and their culture.
This is a good film that stars Eddie Murphy as the Bride's Father and Jonah Hill as the Groom in the only film I actually found him to be funny in as I can't stand him normally and I don't like him.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays Jonah's very Jewish mother and she was quite funny. However some characters were just there for padding and were really wasted in their roles like David Duchovny as Jonah's Father and Nia Long as the bride's Mother.
It was a good film and you will enjoy it more if you don't get offended easily.
I consider this film to be a modern comedy remake of the classic 1967 film "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"
I shall rate this flick a score of 7/10.

RURAL ROUTE
Catch a particular bus in rural Durham, on a certain day, and if you look out of the rain-stained window at the right time, you’ll see a small row of terraced houses, and outside them a little child, in a yellow raincoat, throwing a ball against the end wall and catching it. Then the bus will labour up a hill, and you’ll pass a man leaning against a tree, hidden by its shadow, smoking a cigarette and watching the bus go by.
You’ll drive by some fields of stunted crops, a single tree in the middle of it. Then you’ll see a small row of terraced houses, and outside them a little child, in a yellow raincoat, throwing a ball against the end wall and catching it. Then the bus will labour up a hill, and you’ll pass a man leaning against a tree, hidden by its shadow, smoking a cigarette and watching the bus go by.

Sometimes the bus driver stops by the terraced houses, or on the hill, or by the field with the single tree, even though nobody has rung the bell. Do not decide to get off and explore. The child will whistle for the man, or the man will whistle for the child, or the tree will whistle for them both, and not one of them is a man or a child or a tree.

SHOTGUN WEDDING
This afternoon, we watched this Action Rom-Com on Amazon Prime. and it was actually quite good.
The cast was great and you can tell they were having fun with it as well. and it was funny with some nice decent laugh out loud moments. Jennifer Lopez is stunning as well and she is actually a good actress with a good sense of humour, Josh Duhamel was alright as the groom and he was not the action hero star that some movies would make him out as. But the star for me was Jennifer Coolidge who can steal any scene in any movie that's she is on. and she is incredibly beautiful and very funny.
I won't give away the plot, but this film was good enough to occupy my lunch time viewing and leave me with a grin on my face.
I shall rate this flick a score of 7/10.

FEEDER
There's a blank-faced building behind security fences on the Cornish coast, which is where many trans-Atlantic fibre-optic cables reach the shore after thousands of miles in the depths of the ocean. From there, a never-ending torrent of data spews out into the UK's networks, of video and sound and text, all of human life and commerce rising up out of the ocean or diving back down the other way.
In an air-conditioned room in a permanently locked corner of the building, a set of servers hum contentedly as they siphon off every last byte to the supercomputers of GCHQ, which pick at it by keyword or expert learning algorithm, drawing out what the state wants to know.
Although highly classified, this is now a fairly open secret, and many are in the know.
What is less well known is that a thousand feet below the earth, buried deep in the rock, a living thing lies, a thing as big as a blue whale, twisting and turning in pleasure as it feeds off the representation of human lives that pass through above, arching in ecstacy as it feels the anger, the hate, the betrayal, the disappointment, the horror, the pain, the bile, the fear. it feeds off it, and it grows.
Only six people know that this thing exists. Five of them work, in one way or another, for governments. The other is dishevelled man with an unkempt beard who rents a small caravan in a run-down park nearby, and spends his days beachcombing, while he works out how he is going to kill it.

LEVERAGE: REDEMPTION SEASON 2
Yesterday afternoon, we watched the ending of season 2 of the action crime drama series "Leverage: Redemption" on Freevee.
This has yet again been a brilliant and well written series and good acting from the main cast and the guest cast.
However, we both agreed that the final two episodes of this series was very badly written and acted by everyone. The two part final was set in "London, England" via California or Canada? lol
The way they portrayed the British Police was laughable and insulting. So these two episodes were the low point throughout the whole original Leverage series and the Redemption spin-off series.
Hopefully, they will make a third season.
I will rate this season a score of 9/10.

FEAR THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 7
Last night, I finally watched season 7 of "Fear The Walking Dead" on Amazon Prime.
Well, what can I say about this boring season?
The biggest problem, I have with this current series, is the same I have with other shows that experience the same problem. When you have an ensemble show and you break up the group and divide them apart to the point that you only see a few members of the cast maybe once or twice throughput the series.
Plus the whole aftermath of the Nuclear blast that has destroyed parts of Texas? (I'm not sure where) and everyone seems to have easy access to and wearing very strange looking gas masks were stupid. Plus where did everyone get their radiation pills from?
and with all the nuclear fallout, everyone is wearing protective gear in some parts of the region and other parts they don't. Radiation particles will stay on their clothes unless they get decontaminated, which none of them do. And how come all the Horses survive the fallout? That was stupid too.
They only killed off two of the main cast members, and one member just flew off in a helicopter, never to be seen again?
And at the end, we have the return of a former cast member who everyone thought had died and has now come back working for the enemy. Not Impressed by this season and I can see why people complained about it.
I will watch the 8th and final season next year as I am invested in some of the characters like Strand and Morgan, but I am hoping that the show get's better and it ends on a high.
Anyway, I shall rate this series a score of 5/10.

YET ANOTHER TIA
19:11 this evening I had to take my BP as I woke up at 18:30, well Candy woke me up as my alarm was going off and I was not turning it off as I could not move. I was slouched over to one side of my wheelchair, trying to scream but no sound was coming out of my mouth as I had another TIA.
My speech was slurred, I had a lot of drool everywhere which was icky! and my vision was blurred. Candy helped wheel me to the bathroom so I could pee and she sorted me out, by exercising my arms and hands and get everything working again.
My BP results was 158 over 87 with my heart rate of 71. Which in fact is quite good. I wish I know the reasons behind getting one of these mini strokes. And there was no point in calling an ambulance as they would not come out due to the strikes nor would they consider this an emergency.
Hey Hoo! Diddly Doo!

211
Last night, I watched this 2018 Nicholas Cage crime action thriller on Amazon Prime.
I actually enjoyed this low budget action flick, as Cage plays a disgruntled cop who has a young teenager on a ride along in his patrol car and they both get involved with a bank heist with former soldiers turned mercenaries. He is helped by fellow officers and an Interpol agent as they try to stop the bad guys.
Like I said, it is low budget but it has a decent script and some good acting from the cast.
"211" is a Police code for Bank Robbery, I think.
I will rate this film a score of 6/10.

HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY TO V!
This May will be the 40th anniversary where we celebrate "The Visitor's" first arrival on Earth, as they came in peace!
I was allowed to stay up late to watch this series when I was a kid.
The next day at school, we all talked about it. It was a damn good show!

ALL ABOUT LEX!
Out of the these four Lex Luthor actors, I think Michael Rosenbaum is the best one.
I've not seen Titus Welliver's version yet from Titans as I'm only on S3 so far.
Jon Cryer from Supergirl TV show was alright, but I was never keen on the Jesse Eisenberg version.
I never liked Gene Hackman's version, good actor but not a good Lex. and as for John Shea's version, he was okay for a light hearted Lex in Lois and Clark TV show.
But I thought Kevin Spacey's Lex in Superman Returns was rubbish.

PRISONERS OF THE GHOSTLAND
Last night, I watched this weird Japanese wild west horror movie on Amazon Prime.
I am a sucker for Nicholas Cage movies and I love the guy, but this film really made me scratch my head a lot! lol
Its plot revolves around a notorious criminal, Hero (Nicolas Cage), who is sent to rescue the governor's adopted granddaughter, who has disappeared into a dark region called Ghostland.
It's a post-apocalyptic weird wasteland full of outcasts and people you would expect from a Mad Max movie.
Nick as Hero is outfitted in a tight leather suit, rigged to explode if he get's naughty! (He does loose one of his Veg!)
This is a very strange and bizarre arty farty surreal movie that is even odd for a Cage film!
He is doing more of his weirdness and I applaud him for it, but In the end, I can't recommend this except for Nicholas Cage's fanboys and Sion Sono (The Director) fans.
I shall rate this movie a score of 4/10.
I still have no idea, what the heck I actually watched last night!

TOP 10 PLACES YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO VISIT
10. RAF Menwith Hill (U.K) – Worlds largest electronic monitoring site. This place is able to detect any type of missile attack around the globe, reportedly.
9. Club 33 (Disneyland California, USA) – This may be one of the few places on Earth that are not government controlled, yet is almost just as hard to gain access to. This address is located in the New Orleans Square part of the theme park and is a club exclusively for VIPs with a membership. Some people wait half their lives just to get access to this club.

THE MENU
Last night, I watched this black comedy horror film on Disney+
It had a good cast but an average story.
For starters, I would not ever class this film as a black comedy, but a satirical dark horror film.
Plus, everyone in this film are all pretentious, arrogant, foodies who do not deserve to live, and thankfully all die except for one spirited young woman who should not have been there that day!
I do dislike celebrity chefs who are notoriously abusive as is the character played by Ralph Fiennes in this film.
I will only rate this flick a score of 4/10. It's worth watching once if you're bored, but that's it. Nothing special and I felt hungry afterwards as this movie did not fill me up!
