THE BROWN BUNNY

 Bonnie Brown was a children's entertainer who was always in need of crafts, costumes, and cash. A mysterious box of scraps arrived on her doorstep. Sewing together a crude bunny costume for a party, she ends up running late and without a ride across town.

She is shocked by the speed she is running and terrified by the giant leap she takes over a busy intersection. She lands unharmed, but stirs up the locals who take offense to her, thinking she's a superhero.

With a severe lack of fighting skills, Bonnie feels something in the costume take over her body to protect her. With a series of speed-enhanced punches and kicks, she takes out the hoodlums and escapes.

In the days that follow, a scattering of witnesses discribe seeing different things. The local paper declares her a dangerous vigilante. Bonnie decides to dump the costume for her own safety.

While laying low in her apartment building, she's threatened by armed robbers who kick in her door. Fearing for her safety, she mysteriously summons the bunny costume to protect her. She quickly disarms the robbers and tells them to forget what they saw. They run.

That night, the costume begins speaking to her and tells her it's no accident she received the box. She was chosen.
