Last night, I finished binge-watching series 9 of "Inside No. 9" on BBC iPlayer.
This was the very final series of the British black comedy anthology series, written by and starring Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton and each episode is a self-contained story with new characters and a new setting. Each episode has a new cast, allowing Inside No. 9 to attract a number of well-known British actors.
The stories are linked only by the number 9 in some way, typically taking the form of a door marked with the number 9. Themes and tone vary from episode to episode, but all have elements of comedy and horror or perverse humour, in addition to a plot twist.
I have been enjoying this very much.
Intelligent writing, brilliant acting with astounding actors and fantastic dark humour.
The series ended on a high note with the guests being all the previous actors who made an appearance in the previous 8 seasons.
I will rate this show a score of 9/10.
