Yesterday afternoon, we watched this action comedy on Netflix.
"Axel Foley returns to Beverly Hills after his daughter's life's threatened. He teams up with his old friends John Taggart, Billy Rosewood and Serge to uncover a conspiracy involving the Police."
This is Nostalgia all the way and it's up there with the likes of the first two movies.
The classic music is back as is the hilarious laughs as Foley gets up to his usual escapades in Beverly Hills.
Bringing back the old timers of the previous movies in Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot reprising their roles was a masterstroke and a lovely welcome to the movie as they have been missed.
We also had Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, and Kevin Bacon starring in new roles.
Now Eddie Murphy is in his early 60's now but he can still do the action scenes, I can't say the same for Reinhold and Ashton however as they seemed they needed their rest a lot. lol
Gordon-Levitt was great as Foley's new partner in crime and Bacon was OTT hammy as the bad guy but he was still wonderful.
However...Paige is Foley's ungrateful and annoying daughter who is a pain in the backside, and she is not great as an actress, so she was a let down in his great film.
I highly recommend watching this film as I will again and I am keeping this in my watchlist, If you don't have Netflix, wait until it's released on DVD and go out and buy it as it's worth it.
I shall rate this movie a score of 9/10.
