This afternoon, we watched this British action thriller on Amazon Prime for £4.49 to rent.
"When a retired Green Beret soldier is murdered by an international drug gang in London, four of his veteran SAS comrades set out to avenge him, dispensing their own brand of justice on the streets of London."
I would describe this film as a cross between "Wild Geese" and "The Last of the Summer Wine."
The cast list made me want to watch this film, we have Nick Moran (Age 53), Lee Majors (Age 83), Ian Ogilvy (Age 79), Billy Murray (Age 81), and Paul Barber (Age 71) as the main SAS Heroes.
This was the last acting role of Tommy Lister Jr. as well, and he only had a small cameo in this film as did other actors who had tiny cameo parts - Michael Brandon (Age 77), Stephanie Beacham (Age 75), Danny Trejo (Age 78), Michael Paré (Age 64), Patsy Kensit (Age 54), and Louis Mandylor (Age 57) speaking in his native Australian tongue.
The actress, if you can call her that Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott as Detective Moore was unbelievably fake in her full on fake big tits and fake face with so much plastic on her body! and she only got the acting role because she is married to the director.
Now the story was not bad and the premises was interesting, and I've been looking forward to watching this for a while now but I am glad I did not watch the trailer as it's bad. The film itself was just laughable and very badly directed with beyond stupid computer generated special effects from the gunplay to the explosions.
I think the director got a Drone for Christmas as a lot of the footage os from one of those machines.
No fault to the main cast of actors but the story was so very bad, that we laughed a lot at certain scenes.
It had so much protentional, especially with the quality main cast. But it failed so badly. Such a shame.
I shall rate this film a score of 5/10 and that's just for the actors.
