GRAVESTONE TUNNEL

Gravestone lined tunnel leading down from outside Liverpool Cathedral to the former St James' Cemetery. It was written about in 1832:

"Lighted by only one opening to the surface of the ground, rendering the subterranean passage sufficiently sombre and frightful to inspire the legendry muse with many a rich fireside tale of fairies, sprites and hobgoblins, which, according to the chronicles of those gone by times, performed their nightly vigils on, or near this spot, to the great terror of every schoolboy and nursery-maid who had the temerity to venture through this darksome way."

REMAINS

Last night, I watched this horror film on Prime Video.

It's loosely based on the comic book mini series of the same name, written by Steve Niles from "30 Days of Night" Fame.
"A freak accident turns a bulk of the world's population into lethal flesh-eating zombies. A small and desperate group of uninfected human survivors take refuge in a vacant casino in Reno, Nevada. Meanwhile, the undead outside become smarter, stronger, and more aggressive with each passing day."
This was an average low budget Zombie flick with dull and unlikable characters.
There was a lot of plot-holes that I think the comic book explained a lot better.
The special effects were okay, but there was nothing to write home about with this movie.
The late actor, Lance Reddick appeared for about 10 minutes maximum I think, only three days of filming for him, so I think he must have had a parking fine to pay off.
I shall rate this film a score of 5/10.

THREE STORMS

The Three Storms ⚡️🌪 ⛈️ Big Trouble From Little Chine (1986)

Z-NATION SEASON TWO

Last night, I finished watching season 2 of Z-Nation on Netflix.

I am currently re-watching the whole series, as this is one of the best Zombie series on TV.
I watched it when it first came out on Pick TV, and I always thought this was a brilliant and very intelligent Zombie series, far much better then The Walking Dead ever was!
Season two starts right after a series of nuclear warheads were launched around the world and devastated a number of major cities including the NSA listening post at the North Pole, where Citizen Z operates from, as he guides the team of heroes on their journey to California to search for a cure for the Zombie virus.
The team must deal with scores of bounty hunters, as a warrant for Murphy has been placed. The team are joined by a former DEA agent who is searching for the killer of his family Pre-Z.
The team does lose a member as well in this season.
Murphy does become a father to a blue skinned Zombie baby named Lucy, who starts to grow very quickly. and in no way were they ever at the Grand Canyon, whatever people might or might not have seen! (in show private joke)
Other highlights of season two were the Alien? encounters at RoZwell, Z-Weed, and the Native American tribe helping them.
Plus we get some flashbacks to Pre-Z.
This season ends with Murphy being taken away in a submarine to the island nation of Zona. What will happen next?
I shall rate this series a score of 10/10.

LESHY

"Situated in Bolków, Poland, stands a striking statue representing the Leshy, a legendary creature deeply rooted in Slavic folklore. Described as a guardian of the forest and its inhabitants, the Leshy embodies the spirit of the woodland, depicted as a tall, wild figure adorned with leaves and moss, with piercing green eyes. Bolków, nestled in the scenic southwest of Poland, boasts verdant forests, providing an ideal backdrop for honouring this folklore tradition."

AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER SEASON TWO

Yesterday afternoon, we finished watching season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix.

This was a brilliant series, but I don't think the live action can do this season any justice, as each episode of this 20 part show is vital and had no filler episode like season 1 did.
From the Guru that trains Aang, to the Sand Benders, to Appa's capture and escape, each episode is vital and pushes the story forward for the Avatar.
I am hoping when they do make the live action remake of this show, they do it some justice as they missed a lot of story progression in the first season of the live action show.
The animated series is brilliant, as Aang has already learnt Water and Earth Bending and needs training for Fire Bending.
We are going to start watching season 3, the final series this afternoon.
I shall rate this show a score of 10/10.

Z-NATION SEASON 1

Day before last, I finished watching Z-Nation season 1, I am re-watching this amazing Zombie comedy series on Netflix.

I watched it when it first came out on Pick TV, and I always thought this was a brilliant and very intelligent Zombie series, far much better then The Walking Dead ever was!
This show has way too many different twists and styles of Zombies, from Zombies on Ritalin, to Zombie Tornado, to Zombie Animals and Babies. and a Zombie Tsunami of millions of the undead!
The heroes are a rag tag group of survivors who have been tasked to escort a former criminal named Murphy to a CDC facility as his body has the cure to the Zombie virus, after being bitten many times and surviving, he starts to mutate himself and finds out that he has a unique set of special powers that can control the Undead.
The group do lose a few members throughout the first season, as you would expect from this type of show.
Not only is this a very funny show, but it is also very brilliant.
I shall rate this first season a score of 9/10.

STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS IV

Last night, I finished watching season 4 of Star Trek: Lower Decks on Paramount+

I admit, I'm not a huge fan of this animated series as I do find all the characters to be bloody annoying, and it does my nut in that they constantly scream at each other instead of talking normally. Plus I do not like the animation style, as it's very Cartoon Network, which I can't stand.
But, the main story was interesting as it involved past characters from Next Generation, which was neat, and you also got to explore the culture of the Orion People, that no other Trek show has done yet.
I will rate this series a score of 5/10. I do not recommend.

THE ANIMAL

Last night, I watched this very funny comedy starring Rob Schneider on Netflix. the movie came out in 2001, but this is the first time I've seen it.

Rob plays a hapless Police Officer in training, who after getting involved in a car accident, is rebuilt with animal parts, like the Six-Million Dollar Man.
The film is very daft and slightly gross out as well, which is what you would expect from Rob and the production company "Happy Madison."
I thought it was funny, and I laughed a lot during this movie.
I shall rate this a score of 7/10. It's a nice feel good film, that I have heard they are going to make a sequel for Tubi.

WELSH HEROES

 Welshpool and Wool-verine plus Dragonpool

CROW MOON

Tonight is the Full Crow Moon also known as the Worm Moon and the Sap Moon. Called the Crow Moon for the cawing crows around this time that signal the end of winter. As the earth thaws worms start to appear. And it marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begins.

The Spring Equinox has just passed, when both day and night are at equal length we are reminded to find our own inner balance. focus inward toward inner wisdom and self-analysis. This Full Moon is in the sign of Libra, this will give us a keen eye for detail, we will see things and people and situations in our lives with crystal clarity, a light will be illuminated allowing us to see beyond the shadows. This is a time of cultivating and growing, just as the Suns energy and nature is doing at this time. Plant the seeds of new ventures, plan for the future, think about what it is you want and need and set about putting a plan into action. Use this energy for your own personal transformation, rebirth and regrowth.
Tonight's Full Moon illuminates our inner feelings and desires, so emotions can be quite raw and enhanced. The Libra Full Moon means we may be over critical of ourselves and of others, try not to see the bad in everything instead look for the good. The Libra sign is a very hard working and practical sign so use its energy for getting jobs done that you have been putting off for a while. Libra is not scared to face deep issues, so tackle any problems and bring them to an end.
This Full Moon brings light to whatever was hidden in the darkness or buried within the subconscious such as emotional pain or our deepest desires, but once awareness happens you are able to make realistic changes. Our emotional levels move like strong turbulent waves in the ocean during high tide for some during this Full Moon. Emotional reactions may be strong, energies may feel irritable or uptight. We are amidst great times of transformation which are heralding major new beginnings. Change isn't always easy or comfortable and it’s constant, so we must strive to keep our balance during these changing tides.
The world as it stands is challenged by many opposing forces now. We feel them both personally and collectively, pushing against our own will, raising difficult questions, triggering issues we would rather avoid. How we keep our own balance of light and dark and manage our own inner conflicts largely dictates how we manage outside ones. If we struggle with our own anger or hatred, telling ourselves we shouldn’t feel this way, we will struggle to respond effectively to the anger of others, allow yourself to feel angry or upset, but don't let it take over, keep a balance. If we fear our own power, preferring to see ourselves as victim rather than creator we may succumb to the power wielded by others, adopting their thoughts and priorities, behaviors and lifestyles without discerning the right path for us. If we refuse to acknowledge our own inner selfishness that demands its own way no matter what, we may project it onto the world around us, pointing the finger of judgement and even becoming a bully. Don't suppress your feelings, embrace your light and your dark sides as one cannot exist without the other. We need both. Let go of guilt and allow yourself to feel what you're feeling without self-judgement.
Let the energy of this Full Moon wash over you and cleanse your spirit, use it to heal you both emotionally and physically. Let the moonlight bathe and sooth you mind, body and soul. let the air element of Libra blow away negativity. Stay away from self-doubt. Seek a balance of light and dark and see the truth in your life however much it may hurt, only then can you do something about it and begin to heal.
Have a blessed Full Moon, may the Goddess watch over you.

CANCER KATE!

So, Princess Kate has Cancer!

Who gives a flying fuck!

We have millions of people with cancer in the UK and they don’t get the proper treatment like those rich royal parasites do!

She will never lose out on money, she will always have someone to look after her brats and she will get the best treatment straight away, while others I know, do not.

My mum had cancer, my friends who I care about have cancer, yet do they get diagnosed right away? No, they do not.

She does not have to worry about losing her job or make mortgage payments or hospital parking charges as everything is free for that bint. She won’t have to worry about losing her hair, as she will get the cold cap treatment. She will not suffer the same as normal people do.

To be honest, I don’t really care that she has cancer, if she has cancer!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN

Happy 93rd Birthday to William Shatner aka Captain James T. Kirk.

FINGAL'S CAVE

Fingal's Cave is a sea cave on the uninhabited island of Staffa, in the Inner Hebrides. The National Trust for Scotland owns the cave as part of a national nature reserve. It became known as Fingal's Cave after the eponymous hero of an epic poem by 18th-century Scots poet-historian James Macpherson.

The Cave is formed entirely from hexagonally jointed basalt columns within a Paleocene lava flow and is similar in structure to both the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland and Ulva.
In these locations, cooling on the upper and lower surfaces of the solidified lava resulted in contraction and fracturing, starting in a blocky tetragonal pattern and transitioning to a regular hexagonal fracture pattern with fractures perpendicular to the cooling surfaces. As cooling continued these cracks gradually extended toward the centre of the flow, forming the long hexagonal columns we see in the wave-eroded cross-section today. Similar hexagonal fracture patterns are found in desiccation cracks in mud where contraction is due to loss of water instead of cooling.
