WITCH BALLS

Christmas baubles....Glass-blown spheres were hung in windows from around the 17th Century across the UK. They were also named ‘Witch Balls’. These were glass,layered inside with silver or filled with holy water, or to dry salt as was a talisman. To trap and neutralise witches or evil spirits.
