It's set in modern day France and London, as Aliens invade the Earth and wipe out most of the population. Various bands of survivors across France and London, team up and fight back.
The cast list is led by Gabriel Byrne and the story is quite good but very different to the classic H.G. Wells original.
But their are no Tripods or tentacled aliens, but instead we have DARPA styled robot dog drones who are attacking.
I shall rate this first season a score of 7/10.
