THE BEAST OF GEVAUDAN

The Beast of Gevaudan was a massive wolf like creature that terrorized the people of Gevaudan, France between 1764 and 1767. In its wake, it killed 113 people, and injured 49 others. The beast was killed in June of 1767 by hunter Jean Chastel, who used a silver bullet.
