THE PRODIGY

Watched this "Horror" movie on Film4 earlier and it was shit.
A typical story about a kid being possessed by a serial killer who goes off on a mini killing spree himself and scaring his parents.
Not very scary and the storyline has been done to death.
A score of 2/10.

THE KINGDOM OF DAI RIATA

The Kingdom of Dál Riata
Dalriada
Dál Riata or Dál Riada was a Gaelic kingdom that encompassed the western seaboard of Scotland and the north-eastern corner of Ireland, on each side of the North Channel. At its height in the 6th and 7th centuries, it covered what is now Argyll ("Coast of the Gaels") in Scotland and part of County Antrim in Northern Ireland. After a period of expansion, Dál Riata eventually became associated with the Gaelic Kingdom of Alba.
In Argyll, it consisted of four main kindreds, each with their own chief: Cenél nGabráin (based in Kintyre), Cenél nÓengusa (based on Islay), Cenél Loairn (who gave their name to the district of Lorn) and Cenél Comgaill (who gave their name to Cowal). The hillfort of Dunadd is believed to have been its capital. Other royal forts included Dunollie, Dunaverty and Dunseverick. Within Dál Riata was the important monastery of Iona, which played a key role in the spread of Celtic Christianity throughout northern Britain, and in the development of insular art. Iona was a centre of learning and produced many important manuscripts. Dál Riata had a strong seafaring culture and a large naval fleet.
Dál Riata is said to have been founded by the legendary king Fergus Mór (Fergus the Great) in the 5th century. The kingdom reached its height under Áedán mac Gabráin (r. 574–608). During his reign Dál Riata's power and influence grew; it carried out naval expeditions to Orkney and the Isle of Man, and assaults on the Brittonic kingdom of Strathclyde and Anglian kingdom of Bernicia. However, King Æthelfrith of Bernicia checked its growth at the Battle of Degsastan in 603. Serious defeats in Ireland and Scotland during the reign of Domnall Brecc (died 642) ended Dál Riata's "golden age", and the kingdom became a client of Northumbria for a time. In the 730s the Pictish king Óengus I led campaigns against Dál Riata and brought it under Pictish overlordship by 741. There is disagreement over the fate of the kingdom from the late 8th century onwards. Some scholars have seen no revival of Dál Riatan power after the long period of foreign domination (c. 637 to c. 750–760), while others have seen a revival under Áed Find (736–778). Some even claim that the Dál Riata usurped the kingship of Fortriu. From 795 onward there were sporadic Viking raids in Dál Riata. In the following century, there may have been a merger of the Dál Riatan and Pictish crowns. Some sources say Cináed mac Ailpín (Kenneth MacAlpin) was king of Dál Riata before becoming king of the Picts in 843, following a disastrous defeat of the Picts by Vikings. The kingdom's independence ended sometime after, as it merged with Pictland to form the Kingdom of Alba.
Latin sources often referred to the inhabitants of Dál Riata as Scots (Scoti), a name originally used by Roman and Greek writers for the Irish Gaels who raided and colonized Roman Britain. Later, it came to refer to Gaels, whether from Ireland or elsewhere. They are referred to herein as Gaels or as Dál Riatans.

THE SHAGAMAW

The Shagamaw is an odd creature described by the lumberjacks of North America. The Shagamaw is said to be the size of a horse with the back legs of a moose and the front legs of a bear. The Shagamaw was said to walk 440 steps on its front legs leaving bear prints then walk 440 steps on its back legs leaving moose prints making it incredibly difficult to track. The Shagamaw was not dangerous however it was considered a trickster mostly due to the fact that its diet consisted of cloth mostly cotton and it ate the lumberjack’s clothes as they left them out to dry after washing them.

GNOMES

These beings are actually still very important in the modern society. In the Scandinavian Christmas tradition, there is no Santa in the shape of a fat, bearded guy who lives at the North Pole. Instead, they each have their own Nisse, living in the barn (that is to say, if you are a farmer, or living in the countryside), who is like a guardian for the household. These creatures are typical pranksters, but can easily be befriended, and around Christmas they have the same function as Santa in Western traditions.

ZUTTIBUR

Name: Zuttibur, Swiatibor, Świętobor
Area of Origin: Slavic Cultures
Zuttibur (literally translated as sacred pine) was an ancient forest spirit or god, last worshipped by the Sorbs or Wends; Slavic populations living near German settlements in the middle ages. Though visual depictions of the Zuttibur are rare, one can draw comparisons with other woodland spirits, like the Leshy. Zuttibur was said to have idols and large oak forests dedicated to it, particularly near the town of Merseburg and the river Saale, one of Central Germany’s longest surviving settlements. Merseburg’s first Roman-Catholic Prince-Bishop, Wigbertus (1004-1009 AD), burned down the forest, had any idols destroyed and a church was built in its place by his successor, Thietmar of Walbeck. It is unknown whether Zuttibur refers to an entity/individual or the idols that were constructed there in Merseburg.

INFINITE

I watched this awesome sci-fi action movie last night "Infinate" on Amazon Prime.
The storyline, acting, and the action scenes were very well done.
I shall rate this film a score of 10/10.

THE DARKEST MINDS

Just watched this real rubbish Young Adult Dystopian Superhero Film on CH4. It's based on the book of the same name and it's utter shit. The acting, special effects, and storyline was rubbish and it bombed at the box office and I can see why.
I shall rate this turd a score of 0/10.

STAR WARS VS. STAR TREK

STAR WARS VS. STAR TREK. These are my thoughts and views of the big debate.
I do like a few Star Wars movies, but I love most of Star Trek.
There is a lot of faults in the Star Wars movies, and it relies mostly on the powers of the Jedi and how easy it is to kill a Stormtrooper, destroy the Deathstar, and the Jedi Knights running away from danger and hiding.

STAR WARS I: THE PHANTOM MENACE - The acting, and the storyline was rubbish.
STAR WARS II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES - The acting, and the storyline was rubbish.
STAR WARS III: REVENGE OF THE SITH - The acting, and the storyline was rubbish.
STAR WARS IV: A NEW HOPE - It was a very good film, before it was ruined by Lucas in the remastered.
STAR WARS V: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK - A damn good film, faultless.
STAR WARS VI: THE RETURN OF THE JEDI - A very good film with a few faults.
STAR WARS VII: THE FORCE AWAKENS - I really liked this film but it was not perfect.
STAR WARS VIII: THE LAST JEDI - I've only seen this once and it's not very good.
STAR WARS IX: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER - I've only ever seen this once and it's rubbish.
STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE - Not a bad movie and I liked the ending.

I have always loved Star Trek. The acting, storylines, and the science is very good.

STAR TREK XII: INTO DARKNESS - It was alright with an interesting take on a classic villain.
STAR TREK XIII: BEYOND - A damn good action movie.
STAR TREK TV: THE CLASSIC SERIES - Not bad for a 60's series that started off everything.
STAR TREK TV: THE NEXT GENERATION - A very good series, but too many Holodeck stories.
STAR TREK TV: DEEP SPACE NINE - My favourite Trek series. Faultless.
STAR TREK TV: YOYAGER - It's okay but the Captain and the Borg let it down.
STAR TREK TV: ENTERPRISE - Quite a good series with origins of many things.
STAR TREK TV: DISCOVERY - An utter Woke rubbish series that has ruined everything about Trek.
STAR TREK TV: PICARD - I've not seen it yet, but I know I will love it.
STAR TREK TV: STRANGE NEW WORLDS - It has not been shown yet.

So, overall, I think Star Trek is 100% better than Star Wars.

DEW DRAGON

A WEE DEW DRAGON.
We are very excited to show you this drawing that we made of a wee little dew dragon (or moonlight dragon as they are also known). You probably haven’t seen one of them before, because they tend to spend most of their time deep underground in the faerieburrows where they all live, and only come out for a wee while at night to gather some moonlight…but with the days getting shorter, we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of this one before our bedtime and made this drawing to show you. Every evening, when the sun takes its leave and the temperature starts to drop, these wee dragons head out into the nearby fields, forests, and gardens, looking for a perfect little dew drop (or an ice crystal when it’s frosty out) to tie to the tip of their hats with a wee bit of magic and some string. Once this is done, they will find a flower with a clear view of the night sky where they will sit and wait for a moonbeam to fall directly onto their drop of dew, filling it with its light and setting it aglow like a tiny little lunar lamp.
Now we did say you probably haven’t seen one of these wee dragons before, although that might not be technically true, because if you ever saw a glimmer in a garden after dark or a tiny swoosh of light when you passed a window that looks out into the night, it could quite possibly have been one of these wee dragons. But a second glance would probably be of no use, because as soon as they’ve gathered a ray of moonlight they head straight back to their homes, where they will place these tiny glowing orbs onto little shelves all along the many halls and hallways of the faerieburrows, lighting the way for all the wee creatures, critters, and faeryfolk who live there alongside them. And it might surprise you to know that they keep one for their own bedroom to use as a little nightlight, because even dragons can sometimes get afraid of the dark.

I've been watching Renegade on Pluto TV for most of yesterday and today since coming back from the Hospital. I loved this series in the early 90's.

I've just watched this slasher horror movie on Netflix.
It was okay for a low budget scare flick but It's no "Scream."
The title of the film is stupid as it has nothing to do with the rest of the film except for the very beginning.
The actors still look like they are in their early 30's. lol
I shall rate this movie a score of 5/10 as it was easy to identify who the killer was within 30mins of the movie.

SQUID GAME

Just finished watching Squid Game on Netflix.
A South Korean Survival Drama Thriller Series.
It was awesome, a masterpiece in storytelling, writing, and acting.
I hope they actually make a second series of this show.
I shall rate this series a score of 10/10.

GHOSTLY GUIDE TO THE SHROPSHIRE UNION CANAL

The picturesque Shropshire Union Canal is perhaps Britain's most ghostly waterway.

Deep cuttings at Woodseaves and massive embankments, such as Shebdon, are the hallmarks of the waterway and add to its eerie reputation. At least five ghosts are associated with the Shropshire Union Canal.

Roman Centurion
At Chester's old Northgate where the canal was dug into part of the town's moat, a Roman centurion can sometimes still be seen guarding the entrance to the city. At Betton Cutting, near Market Drayton - which has always had a dark reputation among boating people - a shrieking spectre has been seen and heard.

An American pilot who crashed his plane beside the canal during WWII has been seen at Little Onn, near Church Eaton in Staffordshire. And Tyrley middle lock, just beyond Market Drayton, is reported to have its own helpful resident ghost. If you come up to it in the middle of the night the ghost will push the lock gates shut behind your boat.

The 'Monkey Man'
But probably the best known and most disturbing phantom associated with the canal is the hideous black, shaggy coated being said to appear at double arched Bridge 39. This is supposedly the ghost of a boatman drowned here in the 19th century.

A famous sighting of the ghost occurred in 1879 when a labourer was employed to take a cart of luggage from Ranton in Staffordshire to Newport in Shropshire. He was late on his return journey, his horse was tired and it was about 10pm in the middle of a bleak January night when he arrived at a bridge crossing the canal just outside Norbury.

Just as he reached the bridge, he claimed that a strange black creature with enormous eyes sprang out of the shrubs beside the road and landed on the back of the horse. The man tried to push it off with his whip, but when he lashed out he was horrified to see the whip pass right through the creature. The labourer fell to the ground in fright and the horse galloped off into the darkness with the thing still clinging to its back.

The man was so frightened that he took to his bed for several days and when he finally went back to the canal he found the whip, just where he had dropped it.

In fact, he had met a well known local phantom known as 'The Monkey Man' - and when British Waterways (now the Canal & River Trust) appealed for information about ghosts on the waterways in 2002, one respondent reported a more recent sighting of the ghost and thanked us for proving to his family that he was not seeing things!

He told us that during a boating holiday on the 'Shroppie' in the 1980s he took the tiller while the family were inside the boat preparing lunch. Passing under a bridge he looked up to see what he described as "a huge black, hairy monkey" staring down at him.

Astonished, he called his family out to see the creature. But by the time the boat had passed under the bridge, the creature had vanished. The man said he had been teased by his wife and children ever since over his sighting of the phantom monkey and was grateful to hear that others had seen it too.

Princess Eira
One other ghost is worthy of mention, on the nearby Montgomery Canal - part of the historic Shropshire Union system. At Burgedin, the former lock keeper's cottage is reputedly haunted by the ghost of an early Welsh Princess named Eira.

The cottage was built on the site of a very ancient building where the girl was said to have been walled up alive as punishment for running away with her lover. Her ghost has been seen near the brick-built fireplace in the old basement of the building. Today, the cottage is a waterway office - and objects are regularly moved when no one is around!

CHARLIE'S ANGELS

I watched this gawd-awful shitfest of a so-called action comedy movie "Charlie's Angels (2019)" last night on Netflix.
Starring, Written, Produced, and Directed by Elizabeth Banks.
It was a huge box-office bomb and I can see why.
There was no chemistry between any of the cast members and the film made a huge number of bad mistakes including making the Angels use guns and killing people. And retconning the original character of John Bosley previously played by David Doyle from the original TV series, Bill Murry from the first movie, and now played by Sir Patrick Stewart into the big bad villain of this film. The story was badly written and the plot made no sense. The acting was terrible, and there was no humour or fun in the movie.
The only two things I liked about this film were to make the Townsend Detective Agency an international group with various Angel cells across the world. And having the original Angel Kelley Garrert as the new Charlie.
Anyway, I shall rate this film a score of 4/10.

DAVE THE MAN!

Dave was bragging to his boss one day, "You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them." Tired of his boasting, his boss called his bluff, "OK, Dave, how about Tom Cruise?" "No dramas boss, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it." So Dave and his boss fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door, and Tom Cruise shouts, "Dave! What's happening? Great to see you! Come on in for a beer!" Although impressed, Dave's boss is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise's house, he tells Dave that he thinks him knowing Cruise was just lucky. "No, no, just name anyone else," Dave says. "President Biden," his boss quickly retorts. "Yup," Dave says, "Old buddies, let's fly out to Washington," and off they go. At the White House, Biden spots Dave on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, "Dave, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let's have a beer first and catch up." Well, the boss is very shaken by now but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White House grounds he expresses his doubts to Dave, who again implores him to name anyone else. "Pope Francis," his boss replies. "Sure!" says Dave. "I've known the Pope for years." So off they fly to Rome. Dave and his boss are assembled with the masses at the Vatican's St. Peter's Square when Dave says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope." He disappears into the crowd headed towards the Vatican. Sure enough, half an hour later Dave emerges with the Pope on the balcony, but by the time Dave returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics. Making his way to his boss' side, Dave asks him, "What happened?" His boss looks up and says, "It was the final straw... you and the Pope came out on to the balcony and the man next to me said, 'Who the fuck is that on the balcony with Dave?'🤣

Last night I watched this Spider-Man movie on Netflix. I have been wanting to see this for years now but I've never bought it on DVD.
Well where do I begin?
I am a huge fan of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, I think he is far better than Tobey and Tom as Spidey.
I do love Emma Stone as the tragic Gwen Stacy.
I still can't believe that Andrew actually cheated on her, she's funny, beautiful, and very hot.
Sally Field was awesome as Aunt May, and she is still hot, a GILF.
Jamie Foxx was surprisingly good as Electro, the main villain.
I really loved this film, and I wished they continued the Amazing Spider-Man franchise.
I will give a rating a score of 9/10.

SHE'S BACK!

Well she came home on Saturday evening, after having her operation the day before.
I'm glad she's back but she has been very distant and cold with me yet again, I understand that she is tired and in pain, and that's okay.
First thing she wanted to do was to pop online and check up on her David who happens to have Covid-19! HaHa!
But he is not online, I know she fancies him, as she fancied the other blokes like Matt and George, but I have never done that to her, I have never cheated on her as I'm faithful and I love her, not like her!
And this was before I "pushed her" away or thought bout ending my life.
Anyway, enough of her, I have managed to survive, just about, but I had too as I've had no help.
Nobody actually gives a fuck about me, they don't care, nobody actually loves me anymore.
I really am alone now, maybe if things don't change, I will have to leave and be by myself.
Why did she have be like this? She has been my life, but I'm not hers.

UFO

10 years ago -
Saw this 'UFO' this morning around 1:14am. We could not take a photo of it so this is a representation of what we saw. the object pulsed and the lights went on and off until it disapeared completly. Now I am not saying it's an alien craft but it is an unknown object in the sky. plus it was bright enough for me to make out without my glasses on as I am blind as a bat without them.

This one is Ley Line 188. Not only to all of these major US cities align with Stonehenge, on the opposite side they align with the Teotihuacan Pyramids in Mexico.
These lines have both physical and metaphysical energetic properties, especially where they intersect.
Yes, Earth has charkas and meridians just like our bodies.
Yes, there is a sacred geometric design to to this that both positive and negative forces leverage. Yes, this is real.

MAN OF STEEL

I watched this last night, on Netflix my first movie in over 4 weeks!
Erm, where to start, I'm not a fan of Henry Cavill and I do not rate him as an actor.
He is NO Superman!
Some of the action scenes was not bad but the special effects were shite!
I have seen better effects on Sharknado!
A lot of innocent people died in the film and Superman would never allow that! General Zod was played by some ugly motherfucker who could not act. Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner were wasted in their roles.
Overall I shall rate this movie a score of 5/10.
Superman needs rebooting again with a better actor.
