"After Captain Archer returned to Earth, he was secretly part of an experiment to test a prototype of an early version of a holodeck. It was called Project Quantum Leap. It didn't go as planned and the developers fought for decades to keep the program online, with hopes of one day rescuing Captain Archer.
The method of exiting a holodeck program, "Computer, Arch" is named in his honour."
