This afternoon, we finished watching Season 2 of My Dad, The Bounty Hunter on Netflix.
It's an excellent and awesome animated action adventure sci-fi series that follows on from the end of season 1.
This time, Terry (The Bounty Hunter) get's kidnapped by another bounty hunter and taken away, somewhere in the Universe, and it's down to his wife and kids, with help from a few old friends to set off in their spaceship to rescue him and deal with hidden revelations about the wife and her secret life of being an Alien Princess of a planet of, well all I can call them is Space Wakanda. lol
They also must stop an invasion from the evil organisation from the first season from taking over the whole Universe.
The animation was still very good, as was the storyline and all the characters.
This is not meant for kiddies as it's quite grown up in parts. with a lot of violence and humour.
There are already talks about adapting the series for live action, but to be honest, they should stick to this format.
I really enjoyed this show and I shall rate this series a score of 10/10.
This was really fucked up and I was angry at the nurses!
This is another reason why I was never given Prosthetic legs because they knew they fucked up with my operation and they screwed up with cutting my legs off.
I was just left to rot, I complained and it was brushed under the carpet, yet again.
None of the staff are there anymore, I don't even know who operated on me either.
Now bearing in mind, update 1, being moved out of your room, you're hot sticky, leaky dressings...etc...not condusive to a happy mindset.
So Jason's asleep, stress is tiring, physio boss comes in, after 2wks holiday- nice I guess. Talks about how Jason is and how OT have said how brilliantly he transfers from bed to wheelchair. So Jason mentions the plans going forwards for him to go to the Rutsons Ward(rehabilitaion) at the Friarage in Northallerton...'oh you won't go there!' she pipes up, 'you don't need rehab!', 'you'll just go to a care home until you get re-housed!' So, we discuss this. No says we, Wound Care Nurse and Doctors and Psych, organising Friarage, so Jason can get his wounds dressed by Wound Care Nurse and NO ONE ELSE, we'll be in right place, Jason can get fitter and more independant, THEN go to property! Apparently, because he can transfer from bed to chair, they wouldn't take him for rehab. Despite ALL their promises, of getting him 'independent' before he goes anywhere - he can't even use the commode chair to go to the loo for christsakes!And even if he could get into it, it is impossible for him to clean himself as he can't reach anything! He can't get into his chair by himself, he needs someone there to hold it or it moves, if anything isn't on the bed or his table he can't get it, he can't get his clothes to get dressed, can't wash himself properly, if he is in his wheelchair he can't get out of the room coz the chair is too wide and needs both doors open, he can't even wash his hands coz the bed's in the way and the chair won't fit into the bathroom! Yeah great guys, REAL independent! Plus Jason asked about what happens if he falls out of his chair, how does he get back in? Oh yeah that's REALLY difficult to do, we don't know how YOU would get back into it without a hoist! Utter bollocks! Like there are no other people with no legs out there, who live independent lives and CAN get in their wheelchairs from the ground! What a crock! EVERYBODY who's lost legs, has to face this, what do they expect if Jason gets knocked out of his chair in the street, I have to run and get a hoist? No you LEARN how to do it you idiot! Plus, and I SWEAR I will swing for this woman- yet again, she has said Jason CAN have aesthetic legs to make him look like he has legs for his wheelchair but he' WON'T get prosthetic legs! ARGH!!!!!!!!!! Yes the legs they have there are, well crap! But they are NOT the only ones in the country, there are many different types, some fibreglass, some carbon fibre, some flex, most are robotic and some are training 'little' legs called STUBBIES, NOT the crappy ones they have with a 'dial' to turn to bend your 'knee', that look like the ones that Douglas Bader had in WW2! Oh I really could swing for her, there is NO reason on earth why Jason can't walk again, if he choses to do so, I will move Hell and Earth and I pity the fool who gets in my way, to enable him to do so! But the main issue is, Jason DOES NOT want to end up in a freaking Care home! He's 38yrs old, they don't seem to care what this could do to him psychologically! The Psych lady has already put in her report that she would worry for his state of mind if that were to happen, not half as much as I do! He was almost on the edge of tears and so angry at the same time! Eveyrthing they promised, they're trying to squirm out of! Plus, get this, we were talking to one of the Hostesses, who we get on really well with, she said a guy was just taken into room 26, from A&E, the room that Jason, vacated, JUST so it could be painted, strangely, hasn't been painted at all! Sigh...I have to sigh to calm myself down, not a happy Candy, coz her Jason is being pissed about and it's just not good enough!
I know full well, they think they can get away with this coz Jason is the perfect patient. Oh yeah, they've also know decided, he doesn't need IV antibiotics any more and tomorrow will be taking oral antibiotics! Now how the hell they have figured this out, when no bloods have been taken, since the post op ones, which showed elevated infection levels, I do not know. Maybe they are psychic and have made the decision that way? Or Candy, in the morning, tells them to take some bloods, test them and get a Dr to come and tell Jason that, instead of some crappy useless Nurse! Sigh...
Like I said, one of those days you just want to start again with a different outcome...oh well, lets see what tomorrow brings eh?! Sorry for the rant, not happy bunnies at the mo, thanks for reading if you get this far! Candy
Last night, I watched "Doctor Who: Besieged."
It was a Scottish filmed fan movie with a budget of £10k, shown on Youtube. The film came out in 2013. and the runtime is 1hr35mins.
This was the very first fan film that I have ever watched before and it was quite good!
The film stars the actor, writer, producer Ryan Kendrick as The Doctor.
The film crosses the Alien Saga with the Who Universe as the Doctor and his companion are summoned aboard the HMS Archer, a military research vessel in deep space, trapped in an unknown universe and an unstoppable alien force.
The ship get's occupied by a swarm of Xenomorphs, Facehuggers, Eggs, and the Alien Queen, and it's down to an injured Doctor who is trying to not regenerate just yet to save the crew and his friends from being hosts to an unknown alien race.
The visual effects here are good for its budget, presenting detailed aliens, green screen and good locations shooting.
The acting was alright as well for a bunch of actors that I have never heard of and Ryan did a decent job as the Doctor.
It has theme music from the 11th Doctor's era (my favourite)
The film does end on a decent cliffhanger and I don't know (yet) if they made any more with this cast.
The film does remind me of the glory days of the 70's and 80's era Doctor Who.
I shall rate this fan flick a score of 7/10 as I think they did a decent job.
Yesterday was the first science fiction film in history.
The 1902 French film started it all off.
Plus this was also the very first example of your mother saying that "You will have someone's eye out with that!"
Last night, I watched this Christmas rom-com drama on Amazon Prime. It's not much of a comedy as a drama really.
The film is about two strangers who find themselves stranded in the Scottish Highlands during Christmas and they must find a way to get back home and they stop off at an Inn with a number of guests who are also snowed in during the festive period.
Will Love and Friendship bring the two strangers together?
It had a good cast in the likes of Kenny Boyle and Natalie Clark as the two leads, with supporting actors from Doctor Who - Sylvester McCoy, Frazer Hines, and Caitlin Blackwood, and also starring Sanjeev Kohli and Clare Grogan.
The film has stunning scenery of snowy Scotland and the acting was very good as well as the story. but the final part of the film was slightly disappointing as it was not the ending that I expected.
I shall rate this Rom-Drama a score of 7/10.
It is the 45th anniversary of The Battle of the Planets.
I had one of these when I was a kid, He was known as the Golden Runner who went everywhere with me on Train trips, he use to run alongside the Train across the countryside and kept me company.
I had other "Imaginary" friends as well but only one Runner.
